I was only here for one night, but I got an amazing impression. The bed mattress in the dorm was the most comfortable I’ve ever had, even compared to much more expensive accommodations. Every detail in the room and throughout the whole place is thoughtfully designed. The room size, the common areas, and the bathroom are all optimally laid out. The mosquito net is perfect. There’s a small locker for your stuff — not too big, just the right size. The bathroom is super clean. Small details that aren’t always a given elsewhere: the water drains properly, the mirror and light switches are clean, there’s space for your towel and belongings. Everything is spotless. The staff is very friendly. There are power outlets next to the bed. All this at an amazing value — you could even say it’s cheap. Beautifully presented hotel right on the beach, with a large clean pool and sun loungers around it and on the beach for private hotel usage. The rooms were simple but comfortable with fans and AC and everything you need for your stay. Everything was kept immaculate and clean and we could ask for fresh towels and sheets as often as we liked. The hotel staff also provided you with towels for the pool / beach, welcome drink on arrival, accommodated our request for a early check in, and arranged for a special meal close by as we had just got engaged. The hotel has a restaurant so it's possible to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner there. The breakfast is amazing, I especially like that I got a different breakfast every day and the portions are big. The staff is very nice. The owner is very kind and helped me with everything, I felt home here and ended up staying for a long time. It was so quiet there. We had the best walks and sunsets at the beach. Breakfast and dinner was very good. This is definately not a reflection on Sri Lankan culture, however the beach town is slow and quiet (realtively speaking) and there are plenty of shops and restaurants.
