Our stay at Olinda Galle was simply perfect! The property is stunning, with a truly special swimming pool. The garden is beautiful and well-maintained, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The room decor was elegant and thoughtfully designed, adding to the charm of the place. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Everything was flawless—we couldn’t have asked for a better stay! We had the pleasure of staying at the Serenity Boutique Hotel in Unawatuna, and I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. The hotel is located in a stunningly beautiful location, surrounded by lush greenery and stunning views. If you're looking for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, this is the perfect place to be. One of the things that really stood out to me during my stay at the Serenity Boutique Hotel was the exceptional staff. They were some of the best I've ever encountered in my travels, going above and beyond to ensure that our every need was met. Especially after an unfortunate incident that happened to me, the owner made sure that everything was handled well, which I highly appreciate! Despite being a bit outside the main town of Unawatuna, I found this to be a real benefit. It provided a tranquil retreat away from the noise and crowds, allowing us to relax and unwind completely. That said, it's still close enough to the town that you can easily access all of the local attractions and restaurants. All in all, I would definitely recommend the Serenity Boutique Hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating vacation. The stunning location, exceptional staff, and peaceful atmosphere make it the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Whether you're traveling with family, friends, or on your own, this is definitely a destination worth considering.

Area is lovely. Jungle pools are clean and so much fun and this place is so nice and quiet away from the traffic. Lot of people during day but mornings and afternoon we had the whole poolarea for ourselves. Ravi the owner upgraded is to a bigger villa last night and also have us an intereresting tour in the garden! We highly recommend some days here if you visit the west coast of Sri lanka!! Thank you so much! We went with our kids, 2 and 4 years old.

The Galle Fort in Galle is my absolute favorite place — it...

The Galle Fort in Galle is my absolute favorite place — it has a vibe of its own. It’s completely safe at any time of the day, even for solo travelers. There’s so much history within the Fort walls to learn about and beautiful architecture to explore. The hosts at the restaurants and hotels inside the Fort are amazing, and the service is truly of international standard. The view of the Indian Ocean from the Ramparts is simply breathtaking. There are plenty of restaurants offering a wide variety of cuisines and dishes to try. Outside the Fort, I highly recommend visiting the beaches at Unawatuna, just a few kilometers from Galle City Centre. While you’re there, don’t miss the Japanese Peace Pagoda at Rumassala — you won’t regret it! Yaddehimulla Road in Unawatuna has everything from surf schools and restaurants to gem shops, gelato spots, international cuisines, and everything in between. For quick bites and essentials, SPAR Supermarket at Galle City Centre is your go-to place. You’ll find tasty rice and curry meals, ready-to-eat options, mosquito repellent, basic medical supplies, snacks, good-quality fruits, and other everyday necessities.

we stayed here at the end of September so the sea was not as...

we stayed here at the end of September so the sea was not as calm as it would normally be (or so the locals told us) but you could still go into the sea but maybe not for too long. We enjoyed ambling around the town and going into Gaul more. We used the pool at our hotel more than the beach here.

We did not venture into Bentota. We are expats living in Colombo so no need to explore the city. The hotel was at the right spot for a 100% relaxing weekend away with no distractions. The ocean is not that swimmable as the sea was very rough and looked dangerous. The pool was a welcome alternative. We drove to Galle for the Saturday to watch the game between Springboks and Kiwis. That was not too far, one hour away and a very scenic route. The hotel was also fully booked so must be popular.

I really loved how cozy and clean the hostel was — it felt like home! The staff and owner were super friendly and helpful. The only small thing is that it can get a bit quiet at night, but overall it’s a perfect place to relax.

There are so many locations to see.good peoples are around & very safe are. I like the place & the area.i had great time durig the vacation.I guess that threre is 1km around to the beach & also there is a logoon.i have experience the boat safari at the lake. I wish if i could stay few more days to enjoy.

A little town which is friendly colourful with plenty of shops for anything you need …only issue is that like every town in Sri Lanka there is a problem with waste ( plastic bottles) There are several resteraunts and lots of lovely cake shops :-) Everything is very cheap ..food , tuk tuk , train ..and clothes are an outstanding bargain to any visitor Overall a lovely place for great holiday

Great beach, we felt like Robinson Crusoe on the beach, almost just the 2 of us. Visiting Mahdu Lake at 6 a.m. watching the sun goes up. A natural paradise with a lot of birds and other animals. Listening to their different noises. Dining at the Mangrove Cave Restaurant we enjoyed freshest seafood. It was just very tasty.

My favourite place was the turtle hatchery. Most meals were eaten at the Hotel. Very easy to get around. There is a tour agency opposite the hotel entrance, it cant get any better than that. It is easy to take tuk tuk or van taxis. Superior beach front view. Beautiful gardens and swimming pool. Well done to the management and staff for this top class facility. Local fishermen were easy to approach and social chat with.
