The owner is so super nice. We changed our stay super last minute and she was kind enough to accommodate to all our needs and even reschedule our safari the next day. Everything was organised so smoothly and we had a delicious breakfast and lunch during the safari. Would recommend!!!

Amazing place to stay as like us you looking to back to the origine where nature and clean environment is the main attraction. The small luxury hotel is extremely well organized and the bungalows distributed on the property in beautifull way with gardens, trees and front lake! We booked a bungalow with pool and it was amazing, super large, comfortable bed, living room, bathroom extra size!!! The Staff was amazing from Marc that received us and take care all the time, Gaya, Jewewan and Chef Swadth just to mentions the more closer to us in these days but all were super kind. We had a fantastic dinner for San Valentine that will remain in our memories forever. They arrange for us the visit to the Park and follow us there. All was over any best expectations and is HIGLY reccomended place to go to have unforgettable moments!!

This place was perfectly placed at half way for us between Anurahdupura and Negombo. Not the right time of year for the beach but was very relaxing by the pool. Pradeep was lovely and so helpful. He cooked us a lovely breakfast. A beautiful property.

Excellent Location. Around 8 Kms from Wilpattu National Park Hunuwilgama Gate. Right on the Highway. The Lake view from the Rooftop of the Resort is as amazing as it can get, specially in the early morning & in the evening. The take away Breakfast & Lunch were ready as per our timing (Order had to be passed a day before). Overall Food was of very decent quality & quantity wise was Value for money. Reception & all the staff were very welcoming, specially Madhav who provided us services in every way we requested & always with a smiling face. All in all a great experience.

What makes our experience in new country memorable? Nature? Food? People ! We had fantastic time in Club Hotel Dolphin! The ocean, sunsets and sunrises, away from the crowds and hotel STAFF ! The friendliest, warm-hearted and sincere people I’ve met. Massage therapists are great! Love Balinese massage technique. Try it once you are there! Dolphin resort had impeccable service and support from the staff, who were alwyas courteous and ready to help at all times. The food service had a good variety and all the flavors were on point. The facilities were great and up to date, prompting a wonderful stay. I’d recommend this resort to everyone who would like to enjoy beautiful Sri Lankan beach and weather in a comfortable resort, and reach utmost relaxation. No sand flies like in Malaysia Thank you guys very much for your hospitality! We will be back soon!❤️❤️❤️

I really enjoyed my stay. The wooden bungalows are very rustic and cozy, with open roofing and an outdoor shower. The garden is well-maintained too. The school has a WhatsApp group where they share information about lesson planning, wind conditions, and activities, which I found really well-organized. Dinners are served with all the guests at the kite center, which was just 5 minutes away by bike. Safran was my instructor. He is very experienced and teaches in a great way—always calm, helpful, and full of good advice. I made great progress thanks to him. I felt like in a kitesurf community . Thanks a lot to Safran and all the Margarita staff!

Hotel was right on the beach. We could swim in the pool and in the sea. Lovely comfortable and spacious room. Beautifully decorated. Indoor and outdoor showers were great. Food was exceptional in fact up with the best we've ever had. Service and staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Dolphin trip was fun and exhilarating even though we didn't see any dolphins due to bad weather.

Perfect stay at the Karanukarala Ayurveda resort, especially the Ayurveda treatment was wonderful. In the beginning, the crew told me it was fully booked, but in the end, they managed to schedule it for me. The room was big, and really clean and the beds were very comfortable. I enjoyed my stay there, especially to relax (recommend the yoga and meditation classes).

Kalpitiya is an enchanting destination.

Kalpitiya is an enchanting destination. It's the only place in Sri Lanka where you can take kitesurfing lessons and safely practice kitesurfing with expert assistance from seasoned local kitesufers. Although it's generally considered an arid landscape, even in August, one of the driest months in Sri Lanka, it was largely green and without sweltering heat. Probably, the strong wind causes the heat to dissipate. There's a long stretch of fairly clean beach to explore. Many hotels to stay in and many restaurants to dine at. If you take the train from the Colombo fort railway station like me, you can get down at Palaviya station and walk about 100 metres to reach the road leading from Palaviya to Kalpitiya and take a bus from there and then get down at either Kurinjipitiya or Kalpitiya depending on where you plan to visit and/or stay in. Apart from Kitesurfing, you can go sightseeing, see dolphins, bask in the sunshine, take boat tours, cycle and more in Kalpitiya.

Beautiful nature of the national park with the possibility...

Beautiful nature of the national park with the possibility of observing many wild animals, a paradise for bird watchers. If you are lucky, you can see a leopard or elephants. Very good accessibility by bus from Anuradhapura. Near the entrance to the park there is a large selection of accommodation and safari providers.

You need a car or a Tuk Tuk to take you anywhere as it is away from any shops ect The hotel was very helpful and arranged a Tuk Tuk to take us to the market and religious site. Be mindful regarding the beaches as they are not fit to swim in due to the plastic rubbish and pollution in the water. We went for a walk on the beach but came back after a few hundred metres as it was too depressing to go any further due to the plastic rubbish all over the beach and the millions of microplastic balls that we thought were stones and then realised what it was. Very disturbing

The Manager of the hotel and his staff (including 3 dogs and a cat) are above any praise. If you seek for a well organized place to rest without problems do come to Puetz Travels Beach Resort. Mr. Marcus will make your trip a real holyday. Even wild crocodiles that live in the nearby river dream to move to the magic canals of Puetz Travels Beach Resort. I wish i were among the lucky ones. it is my ancestral hometown.

it is my ancestral hometown. I visited Katuneriya in order to find my long-lost friends from childhood and to find survivors of deceased relations. I also discovered most of the by lanes towards seaside have become narrower due to encroachments and descendants of my relatives have migrated to Italy. Many large villas built over the years, resembling Italian houses lying empty. most of the households have better living standards and few people are engaged in fishing.

Kalpitiya is a very beautiful destination. A place to stay for a few days. There are many places for you to enjoy and visit. But be careful when you find a place to stop. Be more careful with low-cost places. Dinuda Villas is a very beautiful place. Babzy and the team are doing very well.

This is one of the largest national parks in Sri Lanka, and...

This is one of the largest national parks in Sri Lanka, and it has the highest leopard density. But please don't just go and do the usual leopard watching, it gets crowded. Talk to your tour guide or hotel and do some of the less-travelled routes inside the park, and you will enjoy the nature of Sri Lanka on a whole other level. You might not see any big mammals, but you will understand and enjoy the nature, history and biodiversity. If you are going, spend one day doing the usual "touristy" route, then spend the rest of your time exploring the less-travelled routes. There is magic in these jungles. Go find it!

We planed our trip for three days. There are several places to visit in Kalpitiya. We went to Kalpitiya Dutch fort, also Kalpitiya Dutch church. St. Anne's National Shrine is located nearby. It is known as Thalawila Church too. No matter what religion you follow, St. Anne’s Church in Thalawila is one of the most ancient and wonderful of all Christian shrines in Sri Lanka. Our third day was very exiting because we planned a boat ride to Baththalangunduwa island. Baththalangunduwa is an island off the northwestern coast of Sri Lanka, reachable from Kalpitiya. The boat ride from Kalpitiya is roughly 32 kilometers long and takes approximately 3.5 hours. Camping on this island is becoming increasingly popular among local tourists.

Full day safari was excellent. Saw everything. 5 leopards.

Full day safari was excellent. Saw everything. 5 leopards. Sloth bear. Elephants. Cross. Water Buffalo. And many more. If you have to choose I revommend afteroon from 4pm for best chance of seeing animals when it gets cooler and they become active for the evening .
