Even though I only stayed one night at Pauline’s, it felt like stepping into a dream. Waking up to soft morning mist and dew-kissed grass was pure magic — the kind of peace that stays with you long after you’ve left.
Feeding the deer in the garden with crunchy carrots made the short stay unforgettable, like a little glimpse into a fairytale.
The cottage itself is full of warmth and creativity, clearly arranged with love. I’m especially grateful to the hosts for the thoughtful extra services they kindly provided — it made me feel truly cared for.
One night was enough to fall in love with this place. If you’re looking for a peaceful, romantic countryside escape, Pauline’s is a treasure.

The host is very friendly and attentive. The cabin is pointed towards the lake, there are no curtains on the windows. The cabin is equipped with a pellet boiler. My stay was in April when it was close to 0 degrees outside and it was 21 degrees inside with the boiler on.
It’s about 1.2 km walk to Padures manor.
The stay was lovely, will be returning!

The place is almost right in centre of the city. Everything you might need is close by including the seaside. The hosts were super nice and responded to calls and messages right away. The location is super quiet and the parking space is very big. The home was very clean. Things like tea with a kettle, additional water in the fridge and pots for cooking were also included.

All the needed appliances were there except for maybe an axe. Excelent comfortable and basically all you need is there. Dog friendly remote location and we say that we got lucky to be there during the rainy week as we could just cozy up inside and nothing was missing.

It was very nice and cozy, hosts have thought about little details to make the stay as good as possible. There were toys for children as we were traveling with a child. Coffee, tea, drinking water was available. We enjoyed it fully. There is also a lake 2 min walk, perfect in hot weather.

this little house in the heart of the forest and the lake is a magical place. everything is thought out for an incredible stay. the decoration is very pretty. the bay window overlooking the lake allows you to immerse yourself in nature. I've had the best time at Spēlmaņu Krogs! I couldn't have asked for better hosts than Nensi and Roberts, they were the sweetest, always available, helpful and caring. They care about their business and clients and it shows. The breakfast was outstanding and they have their own restaurant that serves during the day and evening. The menu is varied with pretty much everything you wish for. People that don't stay at the guesthouse love eating there, there was always someone and it's kids friendly with a little corner filled with toys from their cute daughter. The guesthouse is in the center next to the church, supermarkets, ATM and bus station. All the events happening that weekend were 5 to 10 minutes away by feet. The view of the lake from the terrasse is gorgeous. All the rooms were very clean and comfortable. If you like cosy atmospheres this is the place for you. Alsunga is worth visiting, the people are welcoming, the village's and Suiti's history's fascinating and goes back to the 1620's. If you have a car that's ideal to visit the beautiful beaches near by. I will definitely come back! PALDIES <3
