Wonderful place in countryside. Apple trees, a stork right in front of our window. Nice historic location in a small village. Good location for hiking in Gauja national park. Exceptionally clean, quiet and comfortable Hotel that is perfectly located yet close to the parks, relaxing cafes, good restaurants, shops and bus / train station. The room decor was to a high standard, with soft, very clean carpets. The bed was extremely comfortable. This is our third stay in Siguilda and now this is our favourite Hotel !

    Exceptional location in the middle of a nature park. I loved how they organized the building and the surroundings, very harmonious. We used sauna and the hot tub, and it was just perfect. Thank you for the birch whisk, nice and thick. Spacious rooms upstairs, large dining table downstairs, grill facilities outside, everything you need for a retreat.

    I like the hotel because of its location, cleanliness and...

    I like the hotel because of its location, cleanliness and customer service at the reception. I did not like the restaurant and its staff because they do not serve enough food at the breakfast even though you pay for it. If you do not go to breakfast early, you only get some leftovers. They do not bring any additional food for missing items.

    Great small town.

    Great small town. Big attractions are the castle; the forest walks for hikers; the nearby outdoor activity centre with kayaking etc; lovely restaurants and cafes - good food but not expensive. Friendly people, courteous drivers, feels very safe to stroll around.

    Beautiful setting alongside a National park with lots of history things to see and walking the forest trails There are cafés/restaurants close by that will self you wonderful food and a very reasonable cost. If you appreciate the outdoors this is one for you 🙂

    Sigulda is in the heart of Latvian history and the main sights of Turaida and Gauja National Park with Turaida, Sigulda castles and Gauja valley just a short drive or bike ride away with great natural beauty as well as historic locations from Ligatne to Valmiera.

    Oņegins of the mosties beautiful citu in Latvia, with great authentic Old Town, Medņevas Castle, museum and cool exhibition halls. Also, events are perfect in conret hall "Cesis". I attended opera "Parcifal" 09.08.2025 in there and this only Oņegins great example of how much interesting events are took place in the town during entire year.

    Beautiful, picturesque place.

    Beautiful, picturesque place. Stunning nature, forest parks, nature trails. We visit the Lygatnes rocks and the Lygatnes nature trail. It is a pity that the tourist information center was not open. I was hoping that they would advise me on more attractions.

    Sigulda is a great place to overcome obstacle courses...

    Sigulda is a great place to overcome obstacle courses located in the treetops. In the "Mežakakais" adventure park, you will be challenged by 6 tracks with 82 obstacles of varying difficulty. On the other hand, in the largest open-air adventure park in the Baltics - Tarzāns, you will not only be able to climb 20 meters above the ground, but also go down the toboggan track. Also Bungee Sigulda is a unique place in Europe, where jumps with a bungee are taken from a CABLE CAR.

    The castle in the town centre is a must to visit.

    The castle in the town centre is a must to visit. You are given a candle in a lantern to see round the dark passage ways. We took a bus the the Eagle Cliffs and walked in the forest. Zala Zale does a great burger and chips!

    It's like Latvian Twin Peaks.

    It's like Latvian Twin Peaks. Take your time to wander around, up and down, all these wooden pathways and roads. I especially like to walk in Līgatne during the dark hours. Very mystic and inspirational.
