Brand new hotel. Lovely modern decor. The breakfast was one of the best we have had in Morocco. Bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. Nice quiet AC. Friendly staff.

Тhe ROOM was surprisingly spacious, with large French windows, offering a great view of the Theatre Afifi area, a part of the beach and the vast ocean vista with the ebb and flow cycles - great view! The two separate beds were very comfortable. An especially nice feature of the room are the VERY massive and THICK CURTAINS a blessing for a better sleep! A great asset of this hotel is the rooftop cafe with great view of the beach and the Atlantic! The BREAKFAST at La Place is exceptionally good for this price bracket! It offers a great variety of local staples like msemen, cheese dips, mini tomatoes, Moroccan mint tea and fresh juice from the best oranges in the world, to more common items like porridge, eggs, various cakes, coffee etc.etc. The breakfast staff are among the nicest and most obliging people on the planet: always kind and smiling, no matter how late you turn up for breakfast, they serve you patiently and never rush you! Amazing people! The RESTAURANT at the hotel deserves a separate mention: not only does it deliver an excellent breakfast but it also serves meals for lunch and dinner and excellent ones! Although the restaurant offers a fixed menu, Chef Hicham and Chef Yusef are great cooks and very friendly. Chef Yusef prepared especially for us on request some Moroccan specialties like Maakouda patties, Loubia bean soup, harira and chorbet adas soup, various tagines and cous-cous! Great guy and a great master of cooking - one of the best in town! Soumia and the other girls at the reception were extremely polite and willing to oblige! All in all, the staff at La Place, El Jadida impressed us with exceptional standards of friendliness and hospitality!

All the staff were incredible. Very friendly and kind. They even let me take a book for free from their collection. We will definitely visit the hotel next time we are in Qualidia. The location is a few steps away from the beach, on the main street where everything is happening.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is perfect, it's very close to the beach and lagoon. The hotel itself is a nice cosy size, with a friendly vibe. The food was a real highlight, especially the oysters, which were some of the best I’ve had. The whole place has a great atmosphere. And the live music at night really brings it to life. It’s good quality, and adds a lot to the overall experience. The staff were really helpful.

Excellent breakfast in terrace room overlooking the sea. Very helpful staff. easy parking. short drive to the beach; stunning views of the lagoon and the ocean beyond. Good supper there. Ask for southwest facing room= spectacular view. Modern, up-to-date place; room a bit small with all our luggage, but for location can't be beat. Well-known seafood/oyster restaurant just a short walk down the hill.

where to start? the scenary is fantastic, the architecture and the interiors are stunning, the cabins are super comfortable starting from the bed and the natural plaster and floors. the guest is greeted with tea and many treats, also to mention one of the best meal in my moroccoan experience.

Great place, very relaxing and very friendly locals.

Great place, very relaxing and very friendly locals. El Jadida is not heavily touristic which made it a nice break from Marrakesh, Fes, Tangiers etc as travelling in Morocco for a month. Highly recommended El Jadida for relaxing and wonderful people who live there.

Very nice city and friendly people. Personally I prefer the quiet places. Unlikely Marrakesh, Safi is very quiet and nice city to discover and learn about in a week, you will be able to make friends easily and recognise the locals quicker. Also the beach and the areas around it is very close and the prices are very affordable.

Feels a bit like undiscovered St Tropez. Beautiful, striking views, nature, bird watching. Unfortunately, the way they cooked fish at most places was not up to par for us. That's pretty much our only complaint though. And the water in April was just a tad cold for swimming. Others were swimming though.

The place we stayed had flooding issues. Although we had Moroccan speaking interactions, there was zero attempts to resolve the issue. The pool was unusable, there was NO hot tub as advertised, the tv did not work. It was unacceptable.

You need to be aware that the cistern is currently close (...

You need to be aware that the cistern is currently close (Nov. 2025). It doesn't seem it's going to be reopen anytime soon. El Jadida is still a nice place to explore - you can nicely combine it with a trip to Azemmour which is a small town very near - access with a shared taxi, 20 minute ride. The combo makes a very nice weekend in less touristy places.

Contrary to other reviews, we loved the laid back and...

Contrary to other reviews, we loved the laid back and friendly vibe in El Jadida. The streets and roadside gardens were clean and neat. The Portuguese walls and village within were fabulous. Lastly, there were lots of very reasonable little restaurants.
