- From US$297.68 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 395 reviewsIt was our second trip to Plumeria hotel on Thinadhoo. The previous one was 2 years ago. The island is just 1.5 hours by speedboat from Male. The Plumeria boats are comfortable and the team skillfully copes with small waves (you don't get seasick). There is a great reef around the island. The house reef was even better than 2 years ago - the corals are reviving and you can see even more fish around; turtles, sting rays and dolphins also included. Mind the sharks though - they are frequently passing after 3 p.m. to their feeding spot. It takes 5-7 minutes walk from the hotel to the canopies of the bikini beach, along the way you have to follow the dress code. There are also canopies just in front of the hotel on the beach if you're too lazy to walk or the weather is unstable. The cleanliness is high. Daily cleaning, twice a day replenish supplies of consumables and water. Excellent buffet. Our meal plan was HB and we really recommend it. Great fresh fruits, intricate desserts, salads, good fish and different special corners with live action. All the staff is very friendly, always ready to help: smiling reception staff, quick waiters, friendly chefs. The general manager Azeez is really caring and arranges everything - including activities on Tuesdays and Fridays and special treatment for repeaters. This was unexpected and very pleasant: free cocktails/ice cream, special hot pot dinner, excursion to a sandbank. They also upgraded our room to a sea view one for free of charges. That was real luxury and we are very grateful for our holiday! As a conclusion, I can assume that Plumeria and Thinadhoo itself is a great place to stay, especially in the low season. There are more canopies on the bikini beach compared to 2 years ago and we were always able to find one even in the prime time.Guest review byAlekseiRussia
- From US$811.63 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 106 reviewsIn short, everything at Amari is great! Specifically: - Island is of moderate size and VERY green with rich vegetation. The island is well maintained in all aspects - Home reef is exceptional. What you can find at Amari reef is roughly the same as what you often get at special snorkeling excursions by boat in other hotels. We saw a giant turtle, lots of sharks (all cute & not dangerous!), a stingray and of course a variety of “common” species daily. It is worth noting that swimming skills at this reef are required - you don’t need to be an Olympic champion, but need to be a confident swimmer for snorkeling around the most interesting parts of the reef. - All personnel is super nice and responsive. Special thank you to Ayaz who was in touch with us on all matters over our stay! - The villas are modern and spacious - nothing to complain about at all - The food is very good! No haute cuisine and complex dishes, but everything available is fresh and tasty; the variety is good as well. The Iru bar is a very nice place to enjoy the sunset with a glass of Prosecco :) - SPA experience is superb! Not cheap, but worth it! - We were at Amari over the Christmas-New Year break and the hotel really invested a lot in making these days special. There were theme parties, some special festive activities, small gifts for the guests. We really felt warmly welcomed at Amari - All in all, very good value for money compared to other Maldives hotels (this was not my first time at the Maldives). THANK YOU to the entire Amari team!!!Guest review byAnastasiyaAzerbaijan
- From US$347.41 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 45 reviewsWe choose this resort due to the great house reef, which exceeded our expectations with its awesome marine life (turtles, sharks etc.).This place had everything we wanted of our holiday: air-conditioned rooms close to the beach, good breakfast, good cleaning, great swimming pool (though the reef.was more important to us), good gym and a professional diving center. This was our 2. holiday in Maldives, and this time we expecially enjoyed to be on a local island and learn to know the local people and culture. (First holiday was on a hotel resort island). Equator Village is great value for the money! Special thanks for the super-friendly staff!Guest review byHanna_R.Finland
- From US$977.16 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 273 reviewseverything was perfect. I’m so sad to leave! the service is next level - probably the best service I’ve experienced at a hotel. they remember what you drink, the moment you sit someone is there to welcome you and offer your drink, the second you finish your meal they pick up the plate, the moment you put the clean room sign it gets done... and everyone is lovely and friendly! the beach is just wow, water is the bluest blue and snorkeling is accessible from anywhere.. I saw manta rays, turtle and sharks. rooms and big, very clean. the food is incredible! lots of variety and everything was delicious.Guest review byAndreaSouth Africa

Amazing location, cozy island villa with fantastic view outside, warm and professional service (housekeeper Ali was exceptionally caring), enough privacy for the overwhelmed mind which needs to be recharched. I enjoyed pretty much everything.
I enjoyed pretty much everything. It was a super place to go for a one week holiday. You're a captivated audience on such a small island but there was more than enough to keep you occupied for the week. The food was excellent, the staff extremely supportive and I think that RIU have a near perfect arrangement for the 'all inclusive' experience.Guest review byStuartUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Amazing resort I would highly recommend.
Amazing resort I would highly recommend. This was our second stay at Kandima and our experience exceeded the first. Good selection of meals provided throughout the day and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our shuttle bus driver Gasimm was very patient and informative on the ecosystem. Excellent facilities for children.Guest review byClarkeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

If you are on a budget, using the local ferry's are a big save in regards to travel and make Island hopping do able. They are 3 time the length of time, at 1 tenth of the price of a speedboat. We still enjoyed sitting out front and watching the dolphins swim with the boat. The trip back was empty and we chatted to the crew. (30 min speedboat vs 1h30 Ferry) The Ferry goes ever 2 days so we did the Maafushi to Fulidhoo, slept 2 nights then got onto it again from Thinadhoo. Two beautiful Islands.Guest review bymorneSouth Africa - 10.0

If you ever can go to Maldives, there is only one place: Madifushi Private Islands. It's a new heaven on earth, and the experience will blow you away. The activities, the SPA, the food, the staff, Sacha, the manager [Omar], the room service the views. I can't stop, honestly. Never been to a better place.Guest review byAllen O.United Kingdom - 10.0
Lovely island that can be walked around in 20-30 mins.
Lovely island that can be walked around in 20-30 mins. Great sandy beaches, beautiful crystal clear waters, plenty of sea life (fish, rays, turtles, reef sharks etc) that all can be observed from the beach or from your over-water bungalow. One side of the island looks out to open sea and the other side of the islands looks towards neighboring islands in the same atoll. The walk from the room to the reception area or the restaurant or the dive shop are all 5-10 mins (but some rooms are much closer to the facilities such as the beach bungalows). Our room was 501 which was one of the Pool Suites. There are 4 pool suites in total. Room 501 has access to the snorkeling reef and at low tide you can enjoy your own private swimming pool. The staff said that Room 501 was the best of the Pool Suites so ask for this room specifically. The restaurant has an amazing selection of food from many different cultures (Indian, Sri Lankan, Maldives, Japanese, Korean, western cuisine...) and always an abundance of fresh produce, fruits, salads. If you take up the All Inclusive dining package then all meals and drinks - even cocktails by the pool - are included. Also included the mini bar in your room however this is only restocked daily. The facilities are clean, the staff are friendly and always willing to help. The room was cleaned daily and the pool was cleaned every 2nd day. What I really appreciated was the pool cleaner asking me if I wanted to add chlorine to the pool. I opted to NOT add chlorine as the pool water flows over the infinity edge into the reef. Having the pool vacuumed every 2nd day was also not necessary but the staff were happy to assist and wanted to make sure you had a great stay. We visited Velifushi in April 2024 which was lovely weather around 32 Deg C. We had a few brief storms that lasted no more than 10 mins during the early hours of the morning but the daytimes were great weather. Highly recommend Velifushi to you.Guest review byPablo_123Australia - 10.0

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left they made us feel so welcome and so special. Everyone in the team just wanted to ensure that we had the best time. From the captain/boss Ahmed, to John the host, to Arbi and the waiters, the chef and through to all the guys on the boat. We got to know them all and felt like part of a family. I couldn’t recommend it enough and if we could afford to, we’d go back next week! If you want the bustle of a big resort, then maybe this is not for you, but if you want to be somewhere that celebrates the beauty of nature and all that the Maldives has to offer, with people who love to show that to you, then this is the place for you. We felt like we knew the whole team by the end, they were all so genuine and thoughtful and caring. We’ve seldom had such personal attentive service and we’ve stayed in many places around the world, and they made our 25th anniversary such a special evening. If you want beauty, nature, simplicity, comfort, good food, great service and fantastic adventures with amazing attention to detail then just book Thari Fushi. We miss you all!Guest review byAlexisUnited Kingdom - 8.0
The reef surrounding the island is simply amazing,...
The reef surrounding the island is simply amazing, particularly the exit next to the water villas (nr. 4) and the ones facing north-west (nr. 5 & 6). Just snorkeling we had the chance to see an incredible variety of fishes and corals, we also swam alongside a turtle and sharks a couple of times! Staff is great, always gentle, kind and willing to help and assist. The food is great both in quality and in variety of offer, we really enjoyed our full board selection. We particularly appreciated the lack of "holiday village entertainment" and the authentic look & feel of the island (preserved but not over constructed). The water villas should be refreshed - they are a gem but furniture is not well preserved and now quite old. Currently the villas have 3 kinds of roof, with different colors and some feature colored fabrics covering some pieces: it's a real pity as they do not look premium and ruin the overall scenery. I hope they are just temporary. Additionally, extra costs are quite a burden, as rates are high and you even need to pay for plain water even if on a full board service.Guest review bySarah MirneItaly - 10.0

Beautiful resort connected to two islands with a 1 km wooden bridge on top of the sea. The water pool Villa was amazing and quiet. The sky at night had all the starts in view. The personnel of the hotel friendly and attentive, would say “hello” and “good morning” to everyone. There are golf buggies to take you from all the places of the islands you are (waiting time was 5 to 15 min max). They offered us bicycles to move around and the vegetation in the islands was lash and fantastic. The only thing I would suggest is more options of food items at the buffet, lunch/dinner. If I compare the buffet lunch/dinners at the Residence Zanzibar… it has a big difference.Guest review byElliGreece - 10.0

The clear waters are amazing and unbelievable, enjoyed the scenery. Swimming and snorkelling are a must. Enjoyed the freshely baked fish more than anything else. The local flight going from Male to the property was long as we had to go to two islands prior to taking a speed boat to the property after a long day of travellingGuest review byJanfeke DavidSaudi Arabia - 10.0
Perfect place for total relaxation.
Perfect place for total relaxation. Maybe a few more activities for the ‘oldies’ would be good. We loved the bingo and Kahootz but the party music wasn’t our style. Enjoyed the saxophone player and the Irish singer. During the day maybe trivia or games?Guest review byJulieanne
