They arranged our airport transportation, helped us choose the perfect rooms, and even recommended water activities and spa treatments. The reception staff was always super helpful and friendly, and the restaurant staff was always smiling and happy to serve us. The boat trip guides were also top-notch, and the ladies in the spa were simply incredible. We only stayed for three nights, but they made us feel so special and welcome. Best staff ever!
And the island itself is gorgeous! The beach is beautiful and not too crowded. Highly recommend 👌

Sea has big shallow area with sand as well as area with enough depth to swim comfortably. Breakfasts were very good. Hotel is a tall building so sea-view from room is fantastic. There’s a bar at the top of the hotel where you can observe entire island from, including sunset.
Special complements to the hotel’s manager who was very attentive, chef and his team for easily handling special dietary requirements. Rooms cleaning was great. I wish the team continued success maintaining such a high benchmark set at opening.

Always checking in if there is anything that they can help with. It went a long way. The room was spacious and comfortable. The shower was so clean and the communal area was comfortable and the lovely views out to the beachfront were special. The communal area was so useful when it was raining as it was a lovely space to relax and read whilst watching the rainfall outside. The food was delicious. They catered to my being a vegetarian perfectly. Special thanks to Rafa for being so helpful.

We were a family of 3 adults staying in a Sunrise Beach Pool Villa for 3 nights. Communication before our arrival was excellent. We were met at the airport and taken by speedboat to the island. On arrival we were offered a drink and then our host Shees introduced himself. We could communicate with him via WhatsApp throughout our stay and he was very helpful with our few requests. We arrived at couple of hours before allowed check in so we chose to eat lunch at The Bluu, rather than pay a 60USD early check in fee. Lunch was delicious. Our suitcases were taken by staff to our villa and a member of staff escorted us there and explained what items were free and which were extra charge. The villa was amazing. We could access the beach from the end of the patio and we could snorkel on the reef.
We spent our time on our patio, on the beach, snorkeling or having drinks at the beach bar. We chose half board. The food and choice in the main restaurant were fantastic. Every day we ate breakfast and dinner and didn't need to pay extra for lunch. The staff were very attentive and we loved the food.
We considered paying for some of the excursions but we had already dived at a local island and didn't want to pay extra to dive again, but the excursions looked exciting.
I originally booked a garden room and I upgraded at the last minute and so pleased that I did. Having our own outdoor space was priceless and meant no claiming sunbeds in a morning. I saw people putting towels on sunbeds at 7.30am and leaving them there all day.
When snorkeling we were amazed at the marine life. We saw many sharks, stingrays, a turtle, octopus, lionfish and countless other animals. Take care due to lionfish, sea urchins and trigger fish!
We loved this place and would stay again. It's very close to the airport and perfect for diving and snorkeling.

We had a great time at this wonderful resort. It is only some 45 mins by boat from Male. The staff are extremely kind and courteous. The team responsible for sea excursions is very informative and helpful. The restaurant provides a great variety of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were booked at half board and there were plenty of options to have a snack during the day at very reasonable prices. The room had all the needed amenities and was cleaned twice a day. Each room had its allocated sun beds in an idyllic environment. It takes around 15/20 minutes to walk around the island to see nature at its best. The sea immediately around this island is already beautiful to swim in and snorkel. The excursions to nearby reefs add to the experience of seeing turtles, mantas, harmless nurse sharks and all kinds of colourful fish (some of which can be seen in the vicinity of the hotel) . The island is very welcoming, well kept and very clean. A place to revisit time and time again.

We enjoyed our stay in September, 2024 at BANDOS Island.
The island is located quite close to the airport, which makes the transfer very comfortable.
The accommodation was perfect, the room service was excellent. The food at the main Breeze Restaurant was varied and tasty. Due to our late departure we needed to prolong our stay, which was kindly organized, even though the hotel was practically full (special thanks to Russian speaking receptionists).
We will definitely recommend BANDOS for the beautiful and comfortable holiday. Looking forward to come again.

Apart from the location, I particularly liked how seamless and easy the checkin procedure was. The hotel allowed us to check in at close to 7 am, in fact they suggested it. This was really nice after an overnight flight. We didn’t have to complete forms or spend time at reception. The island has its own reef, and it’s a haven for snorkeling enthusiasts. Overall, staff are wonderful and trying their best to anticipate every need (special thanks to Reema who looked after us so well, and to Giyas from the Diving Centre for the unforgettable memories at sea.)

Note that
1.its really close to the main airport so after long flight its great to be transferred fast&smooth
2.its connected with 2 other resorts with non stop available and free speedboats. Its important to have option for those who are after maldives can be boring.

Maafushi was a big island.
Maafushi was a big island. I didn't like it because it was all under construction. It was a big construction site. Very big buildings which ruined the whole image of a small exotic island. I didn't feel like I was in the Maldives and it didn't offer me what I imagined. In general, be careful of buyers, they will try to exploit you and sell you expensively.

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there.
Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!

We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!

I absolutely loved my time in Thulusdhoo - my first time in...
I absolutely loved my time in Thulusdhoo - my first time in the Maldives! I feel I picked a fabulous island to spend 4 days of relaxation and calmness following a busy elective healthcare placement.
The island was so beautiful and peaceful. The beaches were so clean, white sands, the water was crystal clear, all sun-loungers free to use and very friendly locals and business owner stalls, businesses, and restaurants. A couple I met whilst away also got engaged on sunset beach with the most beautiful backdrop (a real must to visit during the evenings)!
Plenty of places to choose from to eat - from beach bars to evening dining. I went to Juice Bench every day for lunch, the staff were so kind and smiley and the food was delicious and fresh. I also ate dinner at Indulge (10/10 pizza!), Cafe Bandaha for dinner, amazing tikka masala curry and the freshest apple juice! (Breakfast was included in my hotel - Eden Blue - which I also highly recommend!).
I took two excursions with Baani Watersports - first the reef shark and stingray trip, which was absolutely amazing! The second trip was the sandbank and turtles trip, again - amazing! The team were very friendly, fun, and ensured we were looked after throughout. They took fabulous photo's of us all on their gopro which they sent to us afterwards free of charge. I also found their pricing very competitive!
Getting around the island is easy peasy. I walked every day, it is quite small so can be easily lapped in around 45 minutes of strolling. People were also using mopeds and bicycles. I also received a complementary shuttle service from the ferry port to my accommodation and back which was a very welcomed bonus.
Overall, the island is wonderful, the people are so lovely, and I'm SO glad I picked this island to spend my 4 days! I hope to be back one day soon - perhaps with someone next time so I have a companion in the evenings when it's a little quieter!

Gulhi exuded a lot of the island vibes when we compared to our stay in Male and Ulkuhas. It didn't have too much construction ongoing so it wasn't that noisy with minimal debris going around. The beaches are really nice to walk around and lie around too. Snorkelling here is fun too since the shallow parts extend quite a distance before it goes into the coral reef cliff. Excursions here are nice as well since you get to experience snorkelling with nurse sharks, stingrays, and manta rays. Mantas of course are by luck where was the former are usually attracted via feeding. Food-wise, Dolce Vita is a mut-go since the chef is really good (would suggest local dishes, naan+butter chicken, noodles,), price is reasonable, ambience is perfect, and they do not charge any additional fee at all for card payments!

Great local island, it's big enough to have some great restaurants/hotels and small enough to feel like you're seeing how the locals really live. Located within the atoll perfectly, for short hops to resort islands and excursions. 45 mins from male airport.

It was a lovely island friendly people & I think I stayed in the best place for me on this island my host were fantastic, they could not of done more to make my stay any better than it already was 10/10 perfect 😍
I loved all the food I had @ Indian cafe,loved swimming @ the local beach, not bikini beach
One thing I really disliked was Moscow yeda they tried to double charge me on my credit card when I asked them about 6 of them just started laughing, eventually I got my money back & that was the only bad experience on the whole island.
