Both the accommodation and the staff deserve nothing less than a 10. It might not be a resort, but definitely it feels like staying in one. We spent 4 nights there, with breakfast and dinner included. I appreciated the variety and taste of the food. I loved that we could use the sunshades and loungers, which they kindly brought for us on the beach. They also offer a great selection of additional tours you can book. The room was cleaned twice a day. Although we didn't need that, it was great they brought us fresh water every time. Hats off to everyone—you're doing a great job! Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Snorkeling st the bikini beach was also nice. Unfortunately, most of the coral is dead, but we still got to see many cool fish as well as one stingray.

Dining at the hotel’s restaurant was a delight—the food was delicious, and the menu offered a wide variety of options. The staff even arranged a romantic beach dinner for us, which was absolutely unforgettable! The daily breakfast was out of this world, featuring both healthy, locally inspired dishes and classic options like toast, cereal, and fresh dairy products.     We loved Hotel Embudu Village Resort Maldives! Location was great, not far from Male Airport, about 25 minutes by private speedboat. At arrival we were looked after by the very capable reception team of the resort, namely by their knowledgably member Mr. Haaid. Two other remarkable members were Mr. Pushpa and Mr. Dennis who were able to inform and guide us when needed throughout our stay. They made Check-in easy, and our room was at the edge of the beautiful ocean. This Island is perfect for snorkeling, the island has lots of coral., you can experience swimming with Nemos’, sharks, turtles and many beautiful fish. In the evening, just standing at the Pier (main entrance village) you can see the fish at nighttime. There is a Diving school on the Island, here you can rent all your snorkeling equipment starting from $10 USD per item per day. There is a restaurant, where we were able to have fresh coconut juice straight from the coconut every day and ate the pulp of it. The staff provided lots of useful information about the Maldives Islands. Housekeeping checked the room daily if we requested and Mr. Ibrahim did a great job. The room was spotless every time. He made sure that we had everything we needed. Breakfast buffet had fresh fruits, smoothies, pastries and many variations, something for everyone (even lactose free). Thanks to the Head Chef we got a carton of Lactose free milk to take back to our room. The dinner in the restaurant was extremely delicious, good taste and you really finished your plate. Mr. Samad was taking care of us. The kitchen staff (Head Chef and his great team) were fantastic! The most impeccable part of our stay was the entire staff's hospitality, which was A1 and made our stay a very memorable happening. We highly recommend this hotel with their most respected teams of operations.

    First of all I would like to appreciate all the staff of kaani for their hospitality. Top notch. We stayed at kaani Beach hotel 103.108.109 from 15 to 18th. What a service. Start with the Mr Tiger, from male, incharge of the hotel. But he was everywhere from the receiving of the guest till we get dropped to the boat he was absolutely on every service we needed. God bless you my friend. The receptionist Suman from Nepal, absolutely amazing lady helped us through all the process to the booking and all the things we needed. Restaurent stuff, Aditya from nepal what an amazing personality and hospitality. Along with his team jowel, rony, anisur from Bangladesh. Provided us with the best private beach dinning experience we have ever experienced. The island tour guides' boat mans were amazing through out the trips. Thanks kaani team.     This was my second stay at LUX and once again it was a truly special experience. We stayed in August, with wonderful weather, in a beautiful water villa overlooking the crystal-clear sea. The resort is enchanting: the island is large and well equipped, offering many facilities such as a gym, diving center, six restaurants and several bars. The international breakfast was excellent and served in two different restaurants. During our stay we dined almost every evening at Umami, the Japanese restaurant: outstanding food thanks to Chef Jester and impeccable service by Reehaan. I highly recommend trying it.

    We stayed for almost 2 weeks and loved every minute of it. The staff was amazing! They were friendly and attentive. Room was clean with beautiful views. We had a swirl pool and direct access to the ocean. This made it super easy to go snorkeling right from our room anytime we felt like it. Some mornings we got lucky and caught a few dolphins swim by.

    I only stayed overnight in Male and, in general, it was enough. Simply passing though to get my flight home. As expected the city is noisy, busy and hectic. Wow the contrast from the laid-back, easygoing atol where I was based for the holiday. However, I still quite enjoyed it. The guy from the diving company arranged a tour guide for me whose policy was that I pay him what I thought his time was worth. I got to experience the traffic from a scooter (quite scary to begin with) was taken to the market and given lots of free samples of local foods to try and had visits to all the important sites in three brilliant hours. He also introduced me to a wonderful restaurant - The Seagull Cafe- where I visited another twice before leaving the food and the coffee were so good.

    One of the most beautiful places in the world. Wherever you look, you'll find postcard worthy landscape. The ocean was very clean, ideal for snorkling and apparently it was a good spot for surfing as well. All in all, a must see.

    Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.

    Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.

    I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!

    The people that work there in the island are very genuine...

    The people that work there in the island are very genuine and polite and helpful, always smiling. They make your time there very pleasant. Don’t forget to tip them. Jr and Anastasia from the club house coordinators are amazing and multi talented individuals. Don’t miss their daily sport activities by the pool.

    I absolutely would return!

    I absolutely would return! After the fact I was told this was a Russian resort but we interacted with a variety of guests during our visit. Our neighbors were guests 20 years ago and returned with two children. They were having an absolute ball. I loved the swim up bar at the pool - and the fact it was at the opposite end (along with a divider) from the children's area. Super attentive and friendly staff, great meals, I didn't tire of the options at the buffet. The a la carte restaurant was lovely too. We did the all inclusive and it was definitely worth it. Great chill vibe and overall a fun place to relax and play.

    We LOVED Dhiffushi!

    We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!

    The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life.

    The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life. And mind you, I have visited many seas in many countries! For food, I recommend the restaurant at the Dhiguveli hotel and the Teapot restaurant. Getting around the island is very easy; you can reach any place quickly on foot. Don't miss going to the sandbank at one of the ends of the island.

    An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.
