This is the perfect destination for a peaceful getaway and to witness the wildlife at Etosha National Park. During our stay, we went on three game drives with Mokuti's well-informed and skilled guides. The dinner and breakfast at the hotel were outstanding. Also, make sure not to overlook the delightful blesboks (antelopes) that freely roam the hotel's grounds.

We even extended our stay twice because we loved it so much. Amazing, lovely and helpful staff, perfect amenities, we really enjoyed the pool and the bar with the waterhole. The location is perfect as it is right outside the gates of etosha, you can go in as early as the gates open and have no disadvantages to not staying inside the park. We will definitely come back!

Best possible experience in Namibia: luxury, exquisitness, perfect staff, excellently remote location, a total-nirvana-achieved stay! - a desolate place in Namibia, yet easily reachable, at the brink of Etosha National Park, extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeably organised activities in Etosha - the ultimate safari offer! Staff was magnificent - responsive and smiling all the time! Budget wise: money cannot buy any of the good experience Etosha King Nehale has to offer. Rooms are an immaculate private building with a parking spot for each (and in front of each) room, with a spacious bathroom, walk-in shower and excellent toiletries. Private jacuzzi and a private sunbathing area with a great view of the vastness of the valley of Etosha. No TV set, and that's a tremendous idea - humans and nature cohabit perfectly here. Safe and carefully thought of any detail. Food: well designed to fit any taste - one can experience local cuisine along with masterfully prepared international dishes. A good selection of items in the souvenir shop so no need to look for gifts for back home.

We spent two nights here…it was the right amount of time to view animals in Etosha National Park. The terrain here (unlike Numatoni) is vast and flat. Animals are few and far between but with persistance and great binoculars we spotted a Black Rhinocerous, elephants, zebra, springbok, oryx, giraffe, ostriches, and 1 lion, all during daylight hours. The food is best OUTSIDE the park. There is NO fuel in the ENTIRE park! The “Trading Post” is the nearest fuel to this village (less than 10km). Fuel is CRITICAL for planning in rural Namibia!

It has been our 7th time in Namibia and our 5th in the Namutoni area. As always it is amazing! Wildlife is stunning and this year the scenario with the pan filled by rainfalls was absolutely one of the best scenario you can imagine. This year we missed elephants (just a few) which usually crowded Klein Namutoni, but area around Namutoni was plenty of wildlife such as hundreds of giraffes, impalas, gnus, zebras, springboks. We have seen also cheetah (quite frequent in this area of the park), black rhino and, for the first time in Etosha, leopard with cub. Great place!

If you're planning on going to Etosha, Omuthiya is a great spot to base yourself out of. It's about an hour from the northern most section of the park, which we found to be the best spot from which to see predators in particular. The town isn't particularly well lit or well represented on Google Maps, though, so I would advise getting there well before sunset to make sure that you find your accommodation. Residents are incredibly helpful and will assist with directions is needed.

We were disappointed by the extremely bad roads in the park. There is no information about the rugged dirt roads in the park. We were happy to leave the park without an accident or car broken. No good for self drive! There were no animals at the waterhole in Okaukuejo...

As expected, the variety of predators was not observable but we saw many herds of antelopes, wildebest and zebras. A single giraffe standing in an area near Halila was beautiful. Watering holes were well marked and lovely settings to spend time viewing though some roads were deeply rutted. Sorry to have detour cut off several watering holes near Anderson Gate but understand its necessary for park maintenance.
