LOVED IT ! What an amazing place! The name is well chosen as it does feel like a second home! It is very well managed. Super comfortable. Great vibes. Great organization and help for extra activities. You can really see that it was created by people who are used to travel and stayed in hostels as all the details have been thought through. Great breakfast options, delicious and filling ! Very nice surf options nearby or a boat trip away ! We had a fantastic time there, thank you to Ben and the whole Tukasa staff team :) We will be back !

The room was great - best air conditioning I had on the travel, very clean. Gardens were lovely to relax. Pool was also great. I had breakfast and dinner (Indian curry) which was of good value. Staff were friendly, provided a lot of information on the island and organized transports.

We loved our stay at Villa Francia! This place is absolutely amazing! <3 The rooms are modern, stylish, and spotlessly clean and the view from our room was beautiful. The food is also incredibly good, one highlight was the fantastic breakfast with fresh fruits, juice, home made crepes, croissants and so much more. Everyone was so warm, incredibly welcoming, and helpful - we cannot recommend this place enough and would love to come back soon! :)

For the price its a luxury experience siutated close to the beach. The staff is super friendly and helped us with all of our requests! The food, including breakfast, was also good! I highly recommend this place if you want luxury at good price! Also close drive to the very popular surf beach of playa maderas. Hoghly recommend to eat at Doña chilo right down the road with the sweetest lady!

A great town for a vacation. Lots of cafes and shops.

A great town for a vacation. Lots of cafes and shops. Great views of the ocean and sunset.The downsides are a lot of trash and stray dogs. Swimming is prohibited at the city beach because of sewage drainage, trash, and stingrays, which can cause serious injury.

Took the ferry from puerto San Jorge annd took about 1 1/2...

Took the ferry from puerto San Jorge annd took about 1 1/2 hour to the island. Beautiful island , incredible sights and amazing natural attractions to visit. Island is very clean and very nice and friendly locals!

The Popoyo/Guasacate area is one of my favorites.

The Popoyo/Guasacate area is one of my favorites. I love the beach and the laid-back vibe of the people. There are several great spots to enjoy the sunset, and plenty of places to eat and relax—like Casitas Pacific for dinner, Kook’s Café for coffee, and Viento Este for pizza. There are also beautiful hotels and cabins around. It’s a casual, relaxed destination perfect for couples, families, or friends.

A lovely little town on Ometepe Island.

A lovely little town on Ometepe Island. The locals were so nice and kind. I enjoyed riding around and just taking in all of the beautiful nature. Playa Mangoes was also a short drive from my hostel. I look forward to returning one day.

Not the most exciting town. Very busy with trade. We have encountered very rude taxi drivers trying to charge us triple of normal fees (we knew taxi prices beforehand). Everyone we spoke to warned us not to walk around in the dark.

Call finca mystica (FM) prior to arrival and have them set up transportation for you. Taxi to and from the ferry terminal then rent scooters or 4 wheelers or horses from FM. We rented 4 wheelers from the ferry terminal and had a long hot journey to and from FM.

The town was nice, the only thing that could be better is...

The town was nice, the only thing that could be better is the access since part of the road is still not paved yet, but it was in really good condition, I went in a Hyundai Grand i10 2015 Hatchback, and I was able to go to the Ometepe Biological Field Station, El Pital, Ojo de Agua, We also did the Istiam River Kayaking, it was awesome!!!

There's something magical about this little beach community.

There's something magical about this little beach community. The vibe and energy are great- restaurants and bars with excellent food & drink everywhere. Locals and tourists are friendly and helpful. We know a tiny bit of Espanol but were able to communicate with no issues, and English is spoken more prevalently than I had expected. Can't wait to visit again!!

Was a nice quiet island to relax and clime a vulkanisch Mountain when you like. We did a motorcycle tour. Renting one or a scooter is very affordable and the scenery is very nice. Very great food at the lakefront at Julia’s, almost opposite of ecolodge chiponge The Italian restaurant in the village on the walking street, without traffic, was great too , especially the pizza

Great beach, not busy, clean, and beautiful.

Great beach, not busy, clean, and beautiful. Highlight spots for us were the Bus Bar on the Beach, the restaurant at Casitas Pacifica, Comedor Mendoza, Dutchy's Deli, and the Mediterranean Cafe. We're not surfers, but the surfing looked amazing.
