Wat a beautiful location, space tp park the car and easy checkin using entrance codes. big room, graeat bed and rhe aircon is working very well; which helps if it's 30degrees outside.     This was a faultless place to stay and the overall design of the conversion of the former church buildings just adds a special topping. The public spaces are chic and have tasteful art installed, some of which is for sale. The dining area is unique, in my opinion, and worth a visit for a meal even if not staying. Our room was well apportioned, spotless and lacked for nothing. The staff were very attentive and even spotted it was my birthday so gave me cakes as I checked out.

    I just loved this place, ❤️ it is huge. Had to spend ages finding my way about. The breakfast/restaurant was just astonishing. With views all over the town. The staff are lovely and as an English speaker with no other languages I was so happy that the girls English were fluent.     Maastricht is a fantastic beautiful city.

    Maastricht is a fantastic beautiful city. It's peaceful, clean, tidy and with lots of amenities. It has an old historic medieval centre, and a more modern centre, good restaurants and other shops. It feels like its citizens have a very good decent life. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Everyone spoke English. We felt welcomed and had a wonderful time. I would like to go back and be able to spend a few days longer to get to know the city better.

    Great little town, quaint cobbled streets and excellent cafes, restaurants and bars. Transportation around town is super easy no matter the mode and even if you want to go to Germany, Belgium or even just to Amsterdam for the day the train network and frequency to Venlo is good.

    We came to Roermond for a wedding, and we were very pleasantly surprised. It was our first visit, and what a very pretty town we discovered. We stayed on the outskirts, in a very nice hotel. We wandered through the old churches, and everywhere we went was lovely and clean. It's not a high octane town, but for a few days of chill out it was very pleasant. The restaurants on the waterfront looked lovely, it's just a shame we didn't discover them until it was time to leave! We had a very quick look around an incredible outlet mall, just wish we'd had more time. It honestly felt on a par with Florida mall - well almost anyway! We ate in our hotel, Hotel restaurant, cafe Parkzicht, and the food was delicious!

    Apart from the market there is not much to do in Sittard. Shopping is the usual, but the street is long and there is no ambiance. Main time to visit Sittard is during festivals (Carnival, St Joep and Octoberfest).

    A tidy and relaxed town.

    A tidy and relaxed town. We liked the mining museum, which was unpretentious but well-presented and very-well explained in English/German/Dutch by a local guy with connections to the industry. The other big draw is the Roman baths (extensive unearthed foundations of the whole complex, nicely presented inside a large modern warehouse structure). Rail station is not far from Tulip hotel and is well-served to Aachen and Maastricht.

    Kerkrade is a very nice town in the south of the Netherlands. We visited nearby places like Heerlen and Vaals and we visited the Botanic Garden in Kerkrade. Of course we needed to buy the local cake: Vlaai. Especially the Cherry Vlaai was superb!

    Our accommodation was very clean and spacious. Bungalows were pretty new. Good location for cycling trips, walking. Small footbal/basketball pitch. Large swimming pool, unfortunately not heated. Water was clean and warm enough for swimming, but too cold for chilling out with the kids. I will come back there. Great discovery on my list of weekend stay places.

    It seems to be a great location for cycling and walking but we just stay overnight to break up long journeys. Small town full of character - parking is easy - restaurants and hotels are all near one another and some overlook the Maas river. A delightful stop but be aware that the restaurants are open all day but kitchens tend to close by nine o'clock at night although hotel bars stay open until 10. Has a local brewery.

    Maastricht is a beautiful, quaint, pedestrian friendly city...

    Maastricht is a beautiful, quaint, pedestrian friendly city with cobblestones streets, al fresco dining, wonderful shopping, heritage, architecture and much much more. Take a walk along the city wall, have coffee by the river, visit the beautiful churches, tour the university, shop, eat, chill...so much to do (and English is common). Enjoy!
