AustraliaAbsolutely perfect area for me in the slow time of year , walked for hours and relaxed to a home cooked meal by me. Still had snow and beautiful mountains. Great little café just down the street and had the best coffee in the whole trip. I got a perfect room with a balcony.

I was very happy with a friendly and helpful hotel reception...
I was very happy with a friendly and helpful hotel reception and a well informed manager. I had been upgraded to a better room at their initiative. Happy with that! And a very good breakfast - much more than I need in the morning. Great location for a ski vacatiion with ski area shuttlebus stopping close by if you need it. You can take your last run all the way down close to the hotel. Good local restaurants and bars very close by - less than a minute out the door. The hotel used to be the local hub before new construction at the resort base was developed. I have skied and arranged many ski trips with friends and colleagues to Hemsedal since 1986, staying at the hotel on several occasions and have many good memories from after ski and dinners at the hotel amongst the other possibilities "downtown" Hemsedal.Guest review byEinarNorway - 10
