The welcome from Victoria was excellent and the information she supplied was very helpful, we stayed in the different pools a total of six hours until they closed at 7pm, The day was overcast with intervals of sunshine, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and some thing to wrap around you if wind is blowing, excellent place to visit for us oldies or if you have kids of all ages,Guest review byDavidson - 8.0

Friendly people. Big trees. Green valley. Clean township. Great little supermarket. Best meats at Harris's butchery. Wish I had had time to go to Gore Bay on coastline .. so close. Great options for accommodation. Good distance from Chch and Kaikoura. Peaceful.Guest review byLornaNew Zealand - 10.0

We would not usually stay in Amberley, but this time the location suits as a base to venture from. But we did find a few things to do that surprised us. Beach is awesome, Brew Moon much the same..Wineries for the girls, AwesomeGuest review byTracey - 10.0

The Waipara has our favourite wines in NZ we love a couple nights there after doing some business in Christchurch. We always book a couple long lunch taste the chef experiences at Black Estate and Greystone then fit in a tasting at Pegasus bay and George’s Road and The Bone Line. You can cycle the wineries but we haven’t because we are always there in winter. Several of them have their own accommodation BnB and there are others in the area. The Amberley market on Saturday mornings is a good place to stock up on local goodies for self catering.Guest review byJenniferNew Zealand - 10.0

My stay at Keratu Downs Farm stay was excellent, the peaceful and beautiful surroundings are amazing as was the gardens and farm walks. The Musterers studio was very spacious with lovely furniture, the bed was very comfortable. The outside furniture under the veranda with grape vines dangling above was a lovely place to relax. The kitchen was well appointed with everything needed to cook meals. The breakfast tray was awesome with plenty of provisions to make a great breakfast. I would definitely recommend a stay at Keratu Downs Farm stay.Guest review byStuartNew Zealand - 10.0
Really comfortable well appointed rooms.
Really comfortable well appointed rooms. Great spot for a romantic weekend away. The hosts were great and knowledgeable about the area. The only problem we had was being able to hear the bar fridge at night as our room was closest to this area. Definitely ask for a room further away which we have had no problems with in the past. Great sitting in the spa pool at night watching the stars.Guest review bySandyNew Zealand - 10.0

A day trip to Lake Taylor is worth it - a long and winding road but very picturesque, following the dramatic Hurunui River. Also visit the Maori rock art near Waikari. And the Waikari Kitchen cafe gets 10/10Guest review byRussellNew Zealand - 10.0

The main reason for visiting was the hot pools which did not disappoint. The Forrest also was a highlight with plenty of options for walks. We enjoyed the sculpture walk and even found a fairy house trail nearby. Plenty of places to eat.Guest review byDawnNew Zealand - 8.0

The Amberley Hotel is an "Oasis" on the out-skirts of Christchurch. Arriving on a late afternoon flight my wife & I just wanted to get out of Christchurch & avoid the "Knock-Off Traffic" around the City. A short 45mins north is the wee town of Amberley & the Amberley Hotel is a good first night stopover after a tiresome day of travel. There are soft beds, good food & cold beer. What more could one want?Guest review byCapt. Robert McKay GrayAustralia
