Ngā mihinui for that! We had everything we needed in the main house for eating/ chilling out and we slept in our own cabins which was fully furnished and facilities were great! Kai Iwi lakes down the road too and it was peaceful there.Guest review byJackieNew Zealand

Mangawhai is a quiet seaside, small town but it has everything you need for a wonderful seaside holiday. Lovely restaurants, safe boating, absolutely stunning beach for walks. Colourful quintessential kiwi baches are everywhere surrounded by Pohutekawa and other natives trees full of birds.Guest review byJacquiAustralia - 8.0

So wonderful being in the middle of a Kauri Forest with the river running through it. The only sound you could hear apart from the birds. A beautiful place to stay. Wish we had another night to unwind there.Guest review byRussellAustralia - 10.0
Autumn holidays, quiet and relaxing,
Autumn holidays, quiet and relaxing, only negative experience ( NOT CONNECTED TO THE BACH !!), fish and chips take away from local Sharkies-fish & chips, extremly unhappy about timeframe ( almost 1 for 4 bits of fish and 2 tiny hands of chips), quantity and quality of product-- can't recommendGuest review byAndrewNew Zealand - 10.0
Definitely a rural community.
Definitely a rural community. Activities available and the host offered to escort us up the nearby Toka Toka peak. The region offers a sample of New Zealand farm land. It can be as laid back or active as desiredGuest review byKayeNew Zealand - 10.0
Paradise! Such a beautiful clean beach.
Paradise! Such a beautiful clean beach. Great selection of cafes and even a big supermarket now. Stunning climate and we weren't bothered at all by flies or mosquitoes, which is a definite bonus in a coastal townGuest review byRebekahNew Zealand - 8.0
Dargaville is a great town.
Dargaville is a great town. Shopping centre is reasonably comprehensive. You need to research things to do. In summer Kai Iwi lakes is a great place to visit, swim, launch your boat ( if you have one) stay in the camping ground or just pitch your own tent. There are plenty of cafes and eating establishments. Research the area and things to do in the area before you go.Guest review byTechnicianNew Zealand - 10.0

Lots of good eating places - great surf beach and inlet for swimming. We ate at Dune. Fish and chips ok but other dishes being served looked great...like pork belly entree! There is a wonderful New World supermarket close by....fresh and bright with wide aisles and lots of goodies to enjoy.Guest review byJulieNew Zealand - 10.0
I have been through Ruawai many times.
I have been through Ruawai many times. This time I needed to meet someone there the next morning. It just made sense to find some local accomodation. I searched on my phone and immediately found Pete and Sara. Everything just made sense. I booked in and arrived around 6:30pm We all had a pleasant evening with a board game at the table.Guest review byGordonNew Zealand
