Poshtel is a unique place to stay complete with themed rooms thoughtfully renovated and very comfortable . We stayed in the fishing themed room.We were warmly welcomed by a lovely young host who shared some tips on the local area. The property is in a vineyard and most rooms oversee a nice grape + tree + lake view. I stayed at Aoraki suite which is very spacious, clean and comfortable. There is daily complimentary cheese board - minibar, chips and a bottle of rose are also complimentary. I tried the “Trust the Chef” dinner at the estate which is very good. Quality food plus reasonably priced wine pairing / wine menu. Breakfast was good - continental plus a la carte. Last but not least, at the retreat suite there is a very nice lobby, infinity pool and hot tub.

Everything was amazing with our stay in the spire hotel. Firstly, the reception staff was really professional and helpful, she even initiated to help us decide on where to have for dinner and booked the table for us. Secondly, the room is massive, there’s even a separated section for the wardrobe. The water pressure is amazing, which is really important to us. The fireplace makes the room so warm and cozy. They have smart tv as well, with Netflix and YouTube installed. All their non alcoholic beverages at the minibar are complimentary. They serve amazing breakfast as well, not the buffet style, but ala carte, and you can choose to have it in your room or in the restaurant. We had dinner at their restaurant on our first night, the food was unexpectedly great, and the bill came so much more reasonable than other restaurants we went during the trip. Everything was just spectacular.

The suite was spacious and had fantastic views of the mountains and grounds. The Mini bar supplies were very good and red wine was delicious at a reasonable price. The shuttle bus to Arrowtown was very useful. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was superb with plenty of choice. The meal in the Millhouse was gorgeous. Queenstown is beautiful and there is plenty to do. We enjoyed some great walks and the drive to Glenorchy is beautiful. The town was s very busy and parking can be difficult but we were able to walk everywhere. The Cow still has the best pizzas. Breakfast on the beach at the Bathhouse Pavilion was great.

Wanaka has so much to offer as a destination in New Zealand. Lots of hikes, beautiful countryside and activities. We had 5 nights but could easily have stayed longer, it was sad to leave. The Roy's Peak climb is epic if you have the stamina and Puzzling World is well worth the visit.

We spent six days there and used Dunedin as a base to visit surrounding regions for nature and wildlife experiences. The things that we enjoyed most was the close encounters with sea lions and fur seals at different coastal locations. Unlike Queenstown that we had visited previously, the city was not packed with tourists. It was quieter and less crowded. You will love the place if you are fond of church buildings and their architecture.

It was my old home town many years ago, & has a lot to offer tourists, with the beautiful old limestone buildings. The historical part of town is well worth a browse with Steam Punk & much more to view & the little Yellow Eyed Penguins are a sight to see as well as the seal colony in the same area. Your also close to the great Waitaki river for fishing or boating & picnicing. For bikers theres plenty of scope to ride up the beautiful valley as far as Mt Cook. Plus the botanical gardens is a spectacular stroll for families. Jimmy the parrot lives their & has been around for many years and likes a chat, he will speak to you if your in his favour that day. The children's play area is a treat for a family visit or a picnic day out if you fancied. OAMARU IS A VERY SCENIC LITTLE TOWN.

We stayed in Cromwell to do the stunning bicycle trail from Cromwell to Clyde about 40+ km. We rented e-bikes at ShebikeHebike and they dropped it off in Cromwell. The trail is alongside the Dunstan lake and a water ferry back to Cromwell is worth it. It's a beautifull town with lots of fresh fruit stalls along the road. The Highlands motorsport park is also a must do. Go-carts,Mini Golf, and maybe a fast lap in a Lamborgini before lunch at the resturant. The grounds are very neat and well maintained. Don't just go to Queenstown without a visit to Cromwell and Clyde...
