United StatesAbsolutely lovely little cabin. I did not expect to have a whole cabin. It was lovely. Overlooked a meadow and just a short walk to the two local restaurants and the beach. Owner allowed me to stash my suitcase while I trekked the Great Walk. Also on return gave me a free ride back to where I rented the backpack. Very kind folks. Lovely dog.

BelgiumWhat a lovely place! The cottage is incredibly clean and neat and equipped with everything you need. Helen and Clint are kind and welcoming guests, and we greatly enjoyed the dinner prepared by the chef (assisted by his lovely wife) where we mingled with other guests and had a very nice evening. I would recommend this place to anyone seeking an authentic stay. The gardens are just beautiful and the whole place is peaceful and serene.

We got upgraded to the 2-bedroom unit. It was a good fit for our family of 4. The room and toilet were clean and tidy. A spacious car park, just in front of the unit. The sofa couch is comfy and relaxing. The 'balcony' is a relaxing area for me as well. I can oversee a farm and a natural view just in front of me. It is a strategic location. A walking distance to the town centre. Fresh Choice is just a 3-minute walk from the motel. There are many cafes in Takaka town. Bay Takeaway is a must-try fish & chips shop.

Situated away from the the town, just a few minutes drive.
So many beautiful spots to be explored from Takaka, the spring, the falls, beaches, salmon farm for the lunch, many walks, we should stay longer.
Beautiful unit with outdoor seating and beautiful sunset view and beautiful night sky, surrounded by birds songs.
Well equipped apartment with everything we need.
Laundry facilities are available at communal area.
Interesting glow worm cave to be explored at night.

Everything! We didn't expect this place to be so incredible. The hosts are super nice and welcoming, they have a beautiful garden which we enjoyed in the morning. The european breakfast with homemade jams was delicious, and the night spa was surprising. We slept in a cabin room, which was small but we expected it from the images. It was clean and cosy. We highly reccommand it!

Great value for money ! We had a comfortable appartment with 2 seperate bedrooms, and all necesarry kitchen equipment. You can see the appartments are a bit dated, but everything is super clean and spaceous, so we didnt mind at all. Pool was heated. Beds are comfortable - which is rare in new zealand. Staf was helpfull as well :)

Great location directly on the beach. Great for a swim, especially at high tide. Well equipped accommodation. Very clean and comfortable. Good choice of breakfast supplies. Handy laundry if you're running out of clean smalls!

We arrived in Marahau in order to walk on the Abel Tasman...
We arrived in Marahau in order to walk on the Abel Tasman track. It is a small township, and we enjoyed walking down to the bay for the sunset. We had chosen the Aqua taxi to transport us up to the start of our walk, and enjoyed the efficiency and novelty of that experience. Just a warning to other travellers, By mid May, the little township is settling in for the ‘off’ season, which means that there are fewer grocery and eating options. We had been forewarned and had collected groceries at Motueka.

Kaiteriteri is a beautiful seaside village in the northern part of the South island of NZ. It forms part of the gateway to Abel Tasman National Park. Which is a beautiful unspoilt area of NZ.There are lots of boat tours leaving from Kaiteriteri which provide a large choice of walks or scenic boat tours of the national park. Well worth a visit to this beautiful national park.

Takaka is a fantastic location that gives good access to beaches all around the area, and the lovely Pupu Springs and Farwell Spit. The people in the town were lovely and friendly. We had the best vegetarian burgers, even better than our Ferg burgers from Queenstown! We all felt so safe and just enjoyed our time there. The drive over the Takaka Hill was a great experience, both in the misty rain and in beautiful sunshine.

Good little supermarket and library.
The Lazy Cow has a pizza restaurant.

Richmond is on the outskirts of Nelson City and has most services such as dentist, doctor, Specsavers. Free Parking is usually available nearby. Has supermarket, several eateries and department and specialty shops. A friendly, convenient place to shop.

Collingwood and out lying areas have some spectacular...
Collingwood and out lying areas have some spectacular scenery with very unique environments not found in other places of the world. If you want to learn some history about early NZ, this little place has bits of information signposted everywhere so forget about guessing who found the place or what kept the inhabitants there. Even the journey there from Nelson was interesting with multiple towns and side trips like Mapua, the entrance to the Abel Tasman Track, Kaiteriteri Beach, Pohara and Waipupu Springs walk which was wonderful, just to mention a couple of things we did.

We love this beach - especially in winter!
It is also very close to some special places - Tata and Ligar Beaches, the Wainui Falls, the Grove Reserve and more - always something new to discover.
Molly Bs is to be reccommended…and the cafes of Takaka are not far away.

We enjoyed the local restaurants .The fish and chips at the smoke house were delicious,as was the smoked snapper we took back to our lovely accomodation.The meal and customer service we experienced at Mapua India Eatery was first class.A great spot to base your self,as you are close to many locations

Very handy location for Mapua,Motueka, Kaiteriteri ,Abel Tasmannarional park and city of Nelson. Nearby Kiteriteri beach is the best. lovely sunny and warm microclimate. Dinner at The apple Shed, Mapua was excellent.
