In all respect very good service and taking care of guest at every level . Never say no to any thing we ask . Neat and clean room. Junior suits are very lovely as I stay at junior suit. Friendly nature of all staff and most can speak good English . Fully satisfied . Cost too little higher side but when we happy means we got value in one way .

An absolutely exceptional accomondation, it might've easily been the best hotel I've ever been to. It certainly beated even all five-star ones on my list at the moment. The room was amazing, spacious and comfortable. The bed was perfect (and big, too). The area is scenic, the breakfast is delicious. The hotel restaurant and the bar offer really good food and drinks.

The standard villa was great. You will have enough place in your apartment with... - a great bed - a cooking place and a fridge - a patio with cozy sunbeds - a very spatious bathroom with lots of storage space The people at the reception were very focused on helping you and making your stay great. You will need 3-5 minutes by car to get to the city center. So if you expect to be in the middle of everything, this is not your place :-)

The breakfast was exceptionally made and the food varied from day to day which made each morning a little surprise! The staff was very forthcoming and friendly - the cook would always chat with us in the morning and even the owners passed by to introduce themselves. Everything was very personal and you could see and feel the love that is being poured into this hotel!

Our 1 bdr garden unit with the hot tub was perfect for our one week stay. Attention to details in every aspect; beautiful linens, spa gowns & slippers, candles; herbal tea and sleep mist delivered late afternoon each day was welcomed after our touring; loved the double wide concrete tub; kitchen was small but served our needs perfectly with a cooktop stove, small fridge and all of the dishes/pans required for your stay; housekeeping service every day and a wonderful breakfast that I did not initially know was included but enjoyed. A la carte selection and service was great. Loved the views from the dining room looking over the ocean; our visit in Feb did not allow us to swim in the infinity pool but we enjoyed walks on the beach to watch the big waves. We had one dinner i n the dining room which was very good - I went out of my comfort zone and had cauliflower steak which I would have again. They grow their own herbs and veggies. Parking was plentiful and only a 20 drive to the airport. Good Proximity to everything in the island. This resort truly exceeded our expectations and we would return again.

I don't understand why so many people are complaining about this hotel. It is as close to the ferry terminal as you can get. , The rooms are clean and tidy. The pool has a nice view on Faial, and is beeing cleaned every morning (and they are probably the only ones having a pool in Pico anyway...) You can walk in less than 5 minutes to all the different tour operators (Diving, Hiking, Whalewatching, Rentalcars....) and restaurants. It is maybe a bit dated, but I felt like they were doing their best at being welcomig. They even organise a mini breakfast buffet from 04 a.m - 7 a.m for people leaving early on hikes or diving tours...! Keep in mind that every Airbnb in the area is more expensive , without offering you room service, breakfast or a pool area. If you come to Pico for its great nature activities, and want an easy hotel, thats your place to go!!

For a wonderful time in Sao Miguel, this is the place to be. It's in a peaceful spot with stunning ocean views, perfect for starting your day right. The breakfast has lots of tasty options, including local favorites. The staff are really kind and helpful. They let us check in early at 10:00 am and check out late. The spa isn't huge, but it's a great way to unwind after exploring the island. Overall, it's one of the best hotels I've stayed at, fitting in perfectly with Sao Miguel's natural beauty.

Just to see Ponta Delgada, 2-3 days is enough. It is within an hour to most places on the island. Christmastime is a great time to be there. Not too hot, not too cold and less busy than in the high season.

Beautiful.

Beautiful. There are many fascinating old buildings, cozy cafes, great beaches, and steep hills to climb. Great nature reserve at Monte Brasil. The people are very friendly. Quite a few facilities in this small little town. Very relaxing.

The boulevard along the harbour offers beautiful views towards Pico island. The town is rather small but offers all the basics. The people are are friendly. It's not so suitable for shopping and to really appreciate it you should walk around a lot and also explore the nature around the town. Public transport is available though rather limited.

Being close to the airport, you can even walk there. It's right next to the beach, with access to water sports, bars, restaurants, and supermarkets. Plus, you can easily get around using public transport. The receptionist who helped me with the booking process was very helpful and professional. I highly recommend this accommodation.

It is a beautiful and historic building with so much character. It has calm and peaceful seating areas throughout where you can sit in comfort. They have the best breakfast and we relied on the banana for a snack as we were out and about during the day. This location is perfect for exploring the island as it is centrally located. I enjoyed Riberia Grande. It is a great place to situate yourself if you are planning to visit different areas of the island. The public swimming pools and ocean access was fantastic. I enjoyed going to the courtyard area in my area nightly to eat and enjoy a glass of wine. Took a little getting used to the serving staff here as they did not seem interested in their customers. Upon searching Google, I found out this may be because they are paid a decent living wage and therefore not reliant on tips. This makes it even more confusing as to why they would not be receptive to their customers.

Casas do termo are about 2 km from Lagoa, and we didn't explore this small town well enough. The big Continente supermarket was easy to find (on the road from the motorway). The roads on São Miguel are on the whole very good and the traffic is light. There is a lot of agricultural traffic, however. Using this location as a base, we could easily explore the whole island by car and there are many things worth experiencing (views, villages, Ponta Delgada itself). It's an amazingly lush, green island. We would recommend it!

this hotel was far from the airport or anything else for that matter, if you had to walk so a car is a necessity, and although the hotel had amenities like restaurant (only open for breakfast with the same breakfast every day) and vending machines (which if you could find a working one was empty( best piece of advise is find a grocery store, the island living is the best but it does take some getting used to if your from North America.

I went there to scuba dive and Madelena is a perfect location between two excellent Dive Shops: CWAzores and Twin Peaks. I recommend O Cinco for food. Madalena is a perfect location to stage a vacation to have access to all the other towns, museums and activities.
