Amazing hotel close enough to the port yet quiet and comfortable. I was able to check in a little earlier as a room was available. Both the breakfast and dinner are good value for money and varied. Open also to non guests, with a buffet available if enough people are staying at the hotel. The room and common areas were very clean. Parking is available close to the property however it can get busy during the week.

The boutique 4-star Hotel do Canal is situated in Horta on Faial Island. It is just 100 metres from the beach and offers panoramic views of Pico Mountain and the bay.

Great location, very nice view on the Pico mountain and the ocean. Our room was upgraded without charge to a bigger room with a great view. We were there in January.

Boasting city views, Manta Ray Lodge is situated in Horta, around 2.4 km from Praia de Porto Pim. The property has sea and mountain views, and is 1.1 km from Praia da Conceição.

We had a large room with 4 windows, and we could see both the town and the island of Pico. Breakfast was great, and the staff very nice and competent. The whole lodge is very nicely decorated and there is a general feeling of quality and design. We found easy parking one block up in front of the church of Carmo, with the added advantage of friendly street cats.

Casal do Vulcão is a recently renovated country house in Capelo, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities.

Nice, very stylish and spacious apartment (Scandinavian style), brand new. Well equipped kitchen as well as a laundry. Extremely cool terasse on two floors with nice view on the harbour of Horta inviting for breakfast or evening drinks when it's not too hot ( we were there in August). Welcome beers, some snacks and tea and coffee powder is provided. Thanks! Sofabed sleeps one child well. Very responsive host.
