Very stylish hotel from an era. Great stuff, girl from reception desk helped us with many things, especially to switch the room and waiters from restaurant were super friendly! (Greetings to Andrei and Maria!). Beds were very comfortable. It was very nicely heated in the hotel, since outside the temperature dropped to minus. All in all, we are very satisfied with the hotel!

The building is an historic house, gorgeous traditional house, decor was very elegant, cozy, breakfast was good, they let us do the check in before the time we were supposed to, the personal was very friendly, specially the lady at the reception, wifi was working very good, the room was very warm and cute, we even had an upgrade. I totally recommend the place. They also have parking right outside the house. Very close to the main road.

I was extremely pleased with my stay at Pensiunea Sarmis in Sarmizegetusa, Romania! The room was very cozy, clean and warm, which made my holiday even more enjoyable. The water in the bathroom was always warm, which is important for a comfortable stay. I also appreciated the free pool, which was a great way to relax after a day of sightseeing. The only downside was that the sauna was chargeable, but that didn't detract from my overall impression of the hotel. Everything at Pensiunea Sarmis is done with attention to detail and style, the interior is all wood and looks very beautiful and authentic. The tavern is simply amazing - with the style of a hunting lodge, filled with furs and elements from nature, which creates a cozy and unique atmosphere. I had a wonderful time here and will definitely be back!

If you are looking for a luxurious, modern, new place, this will not be for you, but if you are looking for a cozy, slightly older, small pension in beautiful nature and with very nice people, this is definitely it😃. The pension has everything you need, including outdoor and indoor pools and a sauna. We used the indoor one and it was great and the water was warm. We were here in the second half of September and the outdoor pools had already been drained, but it's no wonder when it was only 6 degrees outside in the morning, in any case the room was pleasantly warm. There were really nice people at the reception and in the restaurant, who were always happy to help us. I definitely recommend visiting just for the amazing view from the balcony of the beautiful Romanian forests.

Quiet location down a side street off the main road through the centre. Off-street parking is accessed through the archway - about a dozen spaces. The restaurant is good and there are 4 breakfast options on the menu (you can also choose something else, if you prefer). The staff are friendly and helpful. Although there's not a lot to see in Haţeg itself, you can easily visit the Haţeg geopark, Hunedoara, Sarmizegetusa Regia, Ulpia Traiana and several old churches. So this hotel is a good place to stay for several days while exploring the region.

Clean, nice and kind staff, room was comfortable and with a balcony and view towards the mountains. Food was good, quite affordable. The restaurant and bar have a varied menu. It has dedicated parking, across the entrance. The road to it is a bit narrow, but it leads to a very pleasant place to stay. :)

Hunedoara is a wonderful place to visit , especially for the impressive Corvin Castle, which looks like it's straight out of a fairy tale! The city itself is quiet and welcoming, with hospitable people and a relaxed atmosphere! A great stop if you want to explore Transylvania's history and charm!

Great place to visit.

Great place to visit. Historical buildings and great overall city atmosphere. Very easy to get around but if you want to travel around the city the bus station takes everywhere you want to go. There is bus stations literally everywhere. The castles worth to visit allot of Dacian history that I enjoyed. There are allot of restaurants with local and international cuisine. Very impressed with the Romanian food. Great taste and people were very friendly. I def recommend anyone to visit Deva. You can play football, you can go swimming at resorts, you can go hiking in the mountains, you can bicycle, you can visit museums or have a park visit. Very interesting place. Pensions and small hotels have literally the best services in the EU. I never seen so much diversity and options in any other city like Deva. The standard is very high. Good quality bedding conditions and top customer service. For me Brasov and Deva are the best in Romania.

Its a quiet mining town with little to no diversity.

Its a quiet mining town with little to no diversity. However, people were friendly and approachable. English isnt widely spoken and its pretty far from any major city. Its best for a relaxing holiday with little to no activities. I wouldnt recommend it for a packed holiday as the town comes alive in Winter.

Small town, nothing much to visit but A LOT to visit around it, the car is a must have. Unfortunately there is no rent-a-car in Hateg, but if you plan your trip by train, you can select Deva or Cluj as destination and rent a car from there, after that go to Hateg.

A good place to stay if you want to go skiing in the local mountains durring winter or hiking or MTB-ing durring the other 3 seasons. You need to remember that the area is in constant developement so not everything would be perfect. Still it has it's charm.

The access to nature was lovely.

The access to nature was lovely. We took a hike on the trails right behind the parking lot. Hardly anyone was on the trails and my big dog loved being able to run around. The food at the restaurant was great and for a wonderful price. We were very pleased with our beds and the cleanliness as well! After a long day of skiing at Straja the very warm shower was a delight.

Deva has everything and more, to make you stay more . We loved the history Cetatea Deva, the park, the shoping opportunites, the Aqualand(not modern but the energy was relaxing so we made the most). Deva it is a must to visit .

It is the city were I was born, so for sure I can recomand it, you have lots to do, lots to visit. A unique Museum for Coal Miner is open all year round, an exceptional Theatre and a nice cinema are also present; Access to Parang mountain resort is possible via the 2 chairlifts, or by car in spring and summer; You can also do windsailing, rafting, and lots and lots of walks; In summer several swimming pools are open, as well as night clubs
