Vrdnik is small city, 5km from resort. Take a short walk through the forest. There is a lot things to see. It is in the middle of National forest park, a lot of walking trails, great place for bikes. Palić is a beautiful and peaceful place next to the lake. It is convenient for the walk, jogging or maybe light cycling. There are few restaurants around, but not much else of some other content. There is a lot of history starting with the fortress on top of the hill above the town from the era of fighting Turks. Great restaurants and very close to Belgrade. Taxi service is excellent and inexpensive. For best "cevapi" go to BIG and Restaurant Walter, for roast piglet(PECENJE) or roast lamb I recommend Restaurant Beli Narcis or Kod Velje. Both are excellent.
