I must confess I wanted to get a five-star hotel in Singapore, but also not to pay through my nose. So while I expected it to be quite good, I still thought there would be some sort of a trade-off. Well, there was none. Firstly, I didn't think the place would be so beautiful and the rooms (we had the ones with Peranakan décor) done in such impeccable, fine taste—it is breathtaking, really; plus all the amenities are in perfect condition and there are small touches that are absolutely bound to steal your heart. Secondly, the location itself is lovely—you are still in the centre of the city-state, just not where every other living soul seems to be at the same time, too. Right across the road you have the old Katong neighbourhood, which is as colourful, quaint and impressive as it is full of life of every type: cafes, shops, assorted temples; you name it. Thirdly, the hotel comes equipped with an Infinity pool that commands an unobstructed view of said Katong district, and getting a good evening swim after a day full of running around Singapore is such a cleansing treat. Fourthly, the breakfast has everything you may need and then some: you have the buffet selection and the a la carte selection, and if you're only in the mood for a cup of coffee, amiable staff may just kindly throw one in for you free of charge. So indeed the only reason why you may not want to stay here is if you need to have all the hustle and bustle of Singapore directly at your doorstep; other than that, Indigo Singapore Katong should really be your go-to option in this jewel of a city.

From the time we arrive until the day we departure it was perfect. All the staff member are very helpful und supportive. I want to special thank Ms. Lee Tian and Ms. Nurul. I was organising a birthday and both were very helpful and gave me good recommendations. My Urban suite in the 7th floor has a good view to the vibrant city. Everything was clean and the breakfast was fantastic. They had a big varity of everything. The location is perfect. Walking distance to Chinatown and the food center. But also very close to Quark Clay and Marina Bay. I highly recommend this hotel und would definitely come back.

We stayed as a family with children and couldn’t fault the hotel. Our young daughter became ill and the staff were so helpful assisting in extending our stay, providing assistance with medical aretention and providing additional housekeeping during the night. Prior to that the facilities were excellent, the pool area is lovely and has great poolside bar. The buffet breakfast at Prego restaurant was delicious, plenty of variety and all fresh and good quality. The room was very comfortable, very well appointed and clean. We stayed on the 20th floor and the room had a very big balcony and view to the bay and of the Singapore flyer. Loved the smart lighting feature, automatic curtains which open when you enter the room and chilled filtered water dispenser. The hotel location is very convenient — easy walking distance to the Merlion Park and Esplanade, Haji Lane and Sultan Street, Clarke Quay and multiple shopping centres. The hotel also walks directly through into Raffles City with has many dining options and high end shops.

There were so many wowable moments, on top of Marina Bay...

There were so many wowable moments, on top of Marina Bay Sands for drinks and dinner. The Gardens by the Bay and the Domes were so worthwhile. I would recommend the Singapore Morning tour by Tour East and also the Singapore Twilight River tour and light shows also by Tour East. We did the Battlefields tour by Tour East which was so very interesting from an Australian perspective as also the Fort Canning Battlements. The Botanical Gardens with the Orchid section, again wowable. Had Sunday Brunch at Raffles, yes pricey, but oh such a worthwhile experience.

JB has something for everyone and it can be extremely fulfilling if you planned it carefully. Shopping is aplenty and it depends on what kind of shopping you want. For mid - high end, go for Mid Valley Southkey. You also can't go wrong with most Aeon Malls for a good variety of shopping and food. I have three boys so our itinerary centred around thrill-seeking: 1. Go-kart at RDU, Sutera Mall. The younger kid had a safe experience, while the older ones + adults got to live our their Fast and Furious dream. 2. ATV Park at Ekoflora (@atvparkjohor on Instagram) was amazing muddy adventure - fair warning: you are bound to get dirty so come with old clothes! For something for everyone, we loved The Hidden Farm at Mount Austin! A petting farm with friendly staff, well maintained space and a good variety to look at including reptiles. My favourite food find this trip were: - The Founders for amazing pizza and cinnamon rolls at MidValley Southkey - Woodfire for burgers - Nasi Kandar Hijrah - Rumah Singgah Roti very near to KSL had wonderful Roti Canai, Roti Sarang Burung with rendang in a quaint setting - Dapo' Khaleeda had great nasi lemak and with delicious ayam goreng and satay. Transportation everywhere was easy with the Grab app and I could easily select for 6 seater car option. They come quick too, so only book one when the group is assembled at the lobby.

Nagoya Shopping Mall is full of perhaps nothing else that cheap imitations… if that’s what you are keen for. But once you venture around the fringes of Nagoya that’s where the attractions are … the simple local fare and stores are a delight

When we arrived I could tell we were going to have a great time.All of the young people on the reception were fantastic as was the breakfast staff the young man who cleaned our room was also very dedicated I will fully recommend your hotel to my friends

Many restaurants available nearby hotel, so the traveller guest can select the place according to his/her individual choice of food. I generally used to eat at restaurant OSMAN OR restaurant HABIB. Try to have some Food/Beverage at Restoran BANAFEE Seri Alam near TODAY's mall. One can buy fresh fruits and other necessary shopping at TODAY's mall nearby. Pharmacy shops are available nearby in walking distance, which is very good. Possible for the travellers to connect to other cities in Malaysia from TBPG (Terminal Bas Pasir Gudang).

Everything was perfect! Great location! Rooms are very clean and magnificent! Spa is also very good! Special mention to the driver Julanda of the hotel who has been my guide for 3 days and showed me around Batam.

Plenty of cafes to choose from & great restaurants nearby on the waterfront. Excelor cafe good for breakfast. ‘See sea’ restaurant good for dinner & Malaysian restaurant also good for dinner in the mall.

Interesting and varied city. Mostly flat, very walkable. Public transport easy to use and extensive. Fantastic restaurants. Very multi cultural. People were friendly, helpful and gentle. Fantastic gardens, jazz and shops. We felt very safe. Definitely would return.

Johor around a shopping center with a cinema is always worth it. In the case of KSL, this specifically caters for people who are looking for massage, getting their nails or hair done and eating. Bonus is that they have a cinema here.
