Maison Fimela was the perfect place to end our trip to Senegal. It is nestled in a stunning location, the food was superb and the staff (including Chloe) were all hugely helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

Beautiful environment with superb views over the river from our room. Food good and service efficient and friendly. My husbands birthday was during our stay and I arranged for a cake as a surprise. A large ice cream gateau with sparklers was presented with singing and dancing from the staff which was fabulous.

Three dreamlike days in a little piece of paradise! I was lucky enough to stay at this beautiful beachfront villa, and I leave with a heart full of gratitude and emotion. Every moment was pure bliss, soothed by the sound of the waves and the warmth of an exceptional team. A huge thank you to Awa, Pierre, Omar, Ami, Kangou, Marie Jeanne, Awa Bah, and Ismaïla, whose kindness, professionalism, and care made this stay magical. Every smile, every gesture, every detail was just perfect. You truly feel at home—cherished, respected, and loved. Very friendly people and an authentic place in the mangroves. A tour through the mangroves is a must-have for every nature lover. An enormous variety of birds can be found there and if you are lucky you can also see dolphins. The view of the mangroves and the tides make the hotel a great place. There is a small jetty right near the hotel from which you can watch the sunset. The food is fresh, simple and delicious. Nothing is missing. We were treated well in English, although a good knowledge of French is generally useful for Senegal. A nice place to spend a few days!

Location is quite and magnificent, staff super friendly, rooms are nice and Les Barracudas has a good kitchen. Great mangrove tours and other activities to do for everyone!! New Year’s Eve event with traditional music was the best we have had in years!

Great place to relax. Pool is lovely and appeared clean. Food was great staff very helpful and friendly. The tour to bird island was very good and worth doing. Not do easy to get around if you don't have a car.

If you want to explore further afield there are lots of trips and excursions planned for you and are all excellent value for money! We enjoyed walking with Joseph and learning about the medicinal qualities of the trees and shrubs, and a horse and cart ride to 3 villages on the island. We also enjoyed a boat trip to see the pelicans and herons coming in to roost at the end of the day. We would have liked to have done more if we had stayed longer.

An amazing place, peaceful, quiet, relaxing, a real oasis.

An amazing place, peaceful, quiet, relaxing, a real oasis. Very clean, great kitchen, you can do trips from the place or just lie in a hammock, go for a swim, watch the crabs, read a book, observe the sunrise (which is truly amazing at this place). No noise, just the sea, wind and birds.
