We booked The StandardX due to its location on the river - and it was really great to sit on the terrace and watch the boats while having breakfast, also the rooftop bar provided a nice view and pool area. Phra Arthit pier is right in front of the hotel, perfect to catch the public transport boats. We had a room facing the street which still was quiet due to good isolation. The breakfast was very good, the employees very friendly and helpful. Another highlight: the art exhibitions in the lobby.

The location is perfect, within a walking distance to Kaohsan road, Palace, Temple but in a quiet road so it's not noisy at night. The room was very spacious, extremely clean, looked brand new. We got complimentary water. Staff was kind, helpful with the tours and arranging transportation. Breakfast was good, freshly made omelettes were delicious. The rooftop is beautifully arranged and has a wonderful view over the city. There is a nice looking pool but we didn't use it in our short stay. Although it is a little pricey it is well worth the money.

Great location - BTS station close by, great restaurants in the close proximity to the hotel, Friendly and helpful staff, Room was nice and clean - yes room is not the biggest but definitely not claustrophobic as some are describing it in the reviews, Tasty breakfasts - moderate variety, always fresh fruits and pastry, great miso soup, Nice bar - a bit on the pricey side but with happy hour 1+1 free drink it's a good deal, Gym - adequate - 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, 1 bike, free weights(dumbbells) up to 20kg Surprisingly great soap and shampoo. I never thought I will mention soap and shampoo in the review but here it is :)

After our wonderful experience at Amari Koh Samui, we decided to choose Amari again, knowing we would receive the same fantastic service. The hotel did not disappoint! The staff was extremely professional, friendly, and especially attentive to our children, making us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was amazing, just like in Koh Samui, with a great variety of delicious options to start the day. Impeccable, everything ! The international breakfast buffet is impressive. Wait staff very friendly and attentive. The rooms are palacial, gorgeous, spotless and well appointed. The lighting was well done for mood, if desired. Very comfortable bed and 100% cotton sheets/pillow cases. Beautiful views of the city/river. The infinity pool and area are gorgeous. You can watch the river traffic go by at the end of the pool. The lobby and attached restaurant are beautifully designed. You can sit in the restaurant with ceiling to floor glass windows and look into a bamboo forest and pools of lotus blossoms. A slice of heaven.

The room was super cleaned big. On the fourth day, they changed the bedsheets. I’m impressed. The staffs were very polite and helpful. When I first checked in my room the safe box had a problem and I called room service and straight away the maintenance guy came fix the problem. Location is great connected to BTS Ratchathewi. There’s also a very nice cafe in front of the hotel. Spread buffet breakfast is a plus. Huge lobby. Easy check in and check out. Street food and massage parlour every corner of the hotel. I really love the hotel and the location.

We found the hotel very comfortable with great staff and facilities. Located adjoining a massive shopping centre with others nearby there was plenty of shopping and numerous dining options. The pool is large and very welcoming being located on the 8th floor. A fantastic ‘stopover’ hotel to relax in between long haul flights.

I liked the fact that we could check in earlier and to be located in very close proximity to the airport, Receptionist was very helpful, called us a taxi and we had overall very nice stay in this beautiful hotel. Bangkok was very disappointing.

Bangkok was very disappointing. A weird mixture of modern buildings next to old shanties that need pulling down. Shopping at the markets was not good, nothing much to buy. Would not recommend Bangkok to family or friends as a must go to place.

Wat Don Muan is a nice temple. Beautiful and peaceful. There is a local market near the temple. Interesting to watch around and taste local foods and fruits. People in the market who are selling foods are friendly and kind. Good to observe local people's life even while transit time of the flight.

I had lived in Bangkok for > 10 years, and chose Bangna due to it's easy connection to the airport, good facilities and transport links to the city centre. This stay was at the end of a 3 week road trip covering 3000km. Next time I would plan to stay a few more days in Bangna.

I stayed near the Victory monument , area which is like a hub for public transportation so it was very easy to get around for cheap. There s a nice little park nearby the hotel to get away from all the traffic and relax or do some jogging. Not many big shopping centers , around the victory monument the bigest one was the One center which has a few decent restaurants on the 3 rd floor. The hotels are cheaper around this area and you can go anywahere with bts or bus or grab/ bolt or motorbike taxis etc

Overall it was a nice place to be the last few days before my flight i was able to relax yet still enjoy some good food and locals. Still plenty of access to everything you need but far from any attractions.

The hotel was extremely hard to find even though I was within 20 metres. The rooms just sit quietly above a dim sum restaurant. Very little signage on the street and no direct direction on booking.com Friendly staff once discovered though. Even my taxi driver couldn't get directions from a shop close by. Needs clarification on web site of location above Dim sum restaurant.

I had a great time at this location.

I had a great time at this location. It was very close to the BTS train system and a mall is directly across the street. Up the street both ways are some good night markets, 7-11 on the corner, ATM is also right there, plus several street vendors for food, coffee shop, KFC and other shops are up the street.

Good location with everything you need close by.

Good location with everything you need close by. There are several good restaurants a few salons, massage places and a marijuana dispensary. If you go up to the corner, maybe one stop on the subway there is a corner with all kinds of restaurants, bars, and activities at night. The famous Highland dispensary, it was the first legal dispensary in Thailand, is there.

not recommended to book in this hotel. much under...

not recommended to book in this hotel. much under expectation and less standard than the rate and photos in booking. all was bad. Especially the hotel charged me with extra night for the checked out day and withdraw from my bank visa without justification, or mentioning this in the policy of the hotel. when I copmlained to hotel and booking, my money never return back to my bank account for one extra night though the booking.com followed them and they lied saying we transferred the money to my bank account after booking complain without transferring the money for the checked out night they took, or providing providing bank statement of the transfer. I am still trying to get my ony back hopeless since they do not answer my messages sent to the hotel through booing and booking is not replying back to me, no valid number I can contact, or message after several trials. both the hotel and booking does not reply, or have easy access for communication to return the money back and send supporting document of the the transfer. BAD SERVICES FROM BOTH HOTEL AND BOOKING.COM who ignored my request after following it up with the hotel at the beginings and promised the money with be transferred back to my account that had been withdrawn from it the check out night as per their complain and communication with the hotel.

I had never been to Bangkok and was expecting a chaotic and overwhelming experience. But I actually loved it so much. So welcoming, many quiet spaces, so many interesting things to do. Temples, antiques, vintage, Chinatown, and so much great coffee. Really one of my favorite cities I’ve been to!
