Breakfast was nice. There were several options for the food. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It's easy to get food delivered, if you don't want to go out, since the location is very accessible. The location is also within the range of the pickup for the booked tours. This is an oasis of calm in the mountains of Chiang Mai, it's like Japan has been transported to Thailand. The attention to detail, the level of service, incredible food, pampering at the onsen and massage. I went for a solo get away to recharge and loved every minute of it. it's the perfect place also to go with a partner or friend. I was particularly impressed by the decor, my bedroom size with a beautful balcony and swinging chair and last but not least with the restaurant: very high quality good from many different cuisines depending on your mood (so you don't always have to have Japanese food). Be sure to try the garden Onsen: it took me a day or two to discover it. I spent many an hour in the hot springs gazing up into the moon and sky.

Since this is our second time, we decided to try the smaller studio instead of the 1-BR residence. The size of the studio is perfect - about the size of an average Asian hotel room. It’s simply furnished and comfortable. We loved that it is slightly further away from the hotel side so it’s generally quieter but just a hop from the breakfast and dinner restaurants. The restaurant staff are amazing as usual, especially the ones having to deal with mad hungry crowds at breakfast. The dinner restaurant staff, esp the male team leader who speaks well, was amazing and energetic - helping my husband navigate his allergies and dietary restrictions.

Chom Tong is a small town about 1.5 hour from Chiang Mai. Travellers use it as the base to explore Doi Inthanon. There is a decent choice of F&B establishments, supermarket, cinema, etc. Best explored if you have transport (rental car or taxi service which can be booked by the day)

Mae Chaem is an amazing little village with great air quality, which is a rare thing in Thailand. With lots of greenery and nature trails, you'll never get bored in this place. Food is also cheap and tasty. The people are nice and always smiling. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nature retreat.

We celebrated our anniversary on the mountainside, and it was such a memorable experience. The host was incredibly kind and even surprised us with roses, which made the stay extra special 🌹 The room was clean, comfortable, and very cozy. We had the mookata for dinner, which was absolutely delicious and perfect for the cool mountain atmosphere. We did encounter a small issue with the bathtub, but the team responded quickly and fixed it right away great service and responsiveness. Overall, it was a wonderful stay with excellent hospitality. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a chill and relaxing homestay in the mountains. You won’t be disappointed!

We enjoyed our time in Chiang Mai, especially Wat Pha Lat, which is a somewhat hidden forest temple that is very tranquil and lovely. It's not on a lot of tours but is near the big temple on Doi Suthep mountain so it is easy to add it. You can hike the mountain but we found it pretty strenuous (but then, we are older). We do NOT recommend taking a "Red taxi tour" which is uncomfortable and has you breathing a lot of fumes. It's cheap though. But tours through other companies are reasonable and more comfortable. Take a Thai cooking class, which is cheap and absolutely wonderful. We also enjoyed a day-tour of Chiang Dao cave and the Hill Tribes.

Welcoming little town well worth visiting. The temple and the caves are great but the best thing for me was that I stumbled into a bar up near the cave which is called . . The Cave bar. This place has to be visited if at all possible. Wonderful hostess and a really chilled, funky vibe.
