The location was sensational, the hotel was absolutely amazing, the staff made the visit... the rooms were spacious and clean, the rooftop was fantastic.. The hotel is a little off the beaten path however it is TOTALLY WORTH IT. A cute small independent hotel that has a touch of class, super clean with an amazing staff, .. it's the personal touch that the hotel has that makes the stay worth the visit... the rooms are well organized and clean the rooftop common area is sensational... and realistically a 5 minute walk to the main street.. or 20 second scooter ride.... this is the hotel to stay

    Chiang Mai is a fabulous city with lots of history and so much to do and see. Chiang Mai has many places to have furniture made which can be easily shipped back to your home town. The northern cuisine is divine.. You are never far from incredible tasting food. We love the nightlife with lots of great bars and live music. Be sure to download GRAB on your phone to get very cheap taxis.

    Very laid-back city.

    Very laid-back city. Many adventures to be had in the area around like tea plantations, Golden Triangle, and the local temples. However, the city itself is really very nice. So many good restaurant options - in fact too many to choose from. We will need to come back and explore further on the next visit.

    Not a tourist town.

    Not a tourist town. Temples and local history are very interesting. Folk art museum was the highlight for us. Unfortunately we didn’t get to nearby Sukhothai historical park which was highly recommended by our host.

    Nan is an interesting town...

    Nan is an interesting town... There are lots of temples and history from when it was a kingdom. I was visiting during the low season, but during my 10-day visit, I could see something every day. But you must realize that this is not a holiday site where you can enjoy daily fun and entertainment.

    I found a lot of the locals to be quite stand offish with white people. It was the only town we visited that felt like that in all of northern thailand. for that reason, I would not come back to Lampang.

    I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping in Chiang Mai, and I can confidently say it was one of the most incredible hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the host and staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable. Every request we made was met with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, which made our stay even more special. The glamping site itself is immaculately maintained, with cleanliness being a top priority. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall 24/7, it truly felt like we were immersed in nature. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life and reconnect with the serene beauty of the outdoors. One of the most magical moments was at night—around 11 PM onwards, the sky came alive with countless stars, offering an awe-inspiring view you rarely get to experience in the city. If you’re looking for a solid glamping experience with unparalleled hospitality, breathtaking natural surroundings, and starry skies, Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping is the place to go.
