- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 463 reviewsThis place is oasis in the island! It is located at the center of the island, 5 min walk from the beach. Really well located if you want to move around and be apart from the "busy" areas, although they are non-existent in there. They also have a restaurant with the best food in town, excellent massage service, and beautiful garden where you can relax. Internet is good if you need to get some work done. Lek and the team were excellent hosts making sure we were enjoying our stay. We made the best choice staying in here. We are already missing it.Guest review byBRENDACzech Republic
- From US$36.36 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 502 reviewsThis is a wonderful hotel in the center of the city, 5 minutes from the night market. Cleaning every day, a huge bed and dark curtains, we haven't slept so well in a long time. The breakfasts are just great, take them , you won't regret it. There is a nice swimming pool and gym on site. It is ideal to relax by the pool during the day.We rented a bike right at the hotel for 300 baht. We drove around for 3 days, there really is so much to see and these are not tourist places. The atmosphere of real Thailand. I highly recommend this hotel ♥️Guest review byKatiunuaNovRussia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 416 reviewsSabai Sabai is a great choice to make if staying in Koh Phayam. Situated on a nice beach, close to where the ferry/speed boats come into the island so really easy to get to. The rooms are very comfortable & very private with a great views. There are lots of different very comfortable areas to chill in, it’s a really well thought out place 😊 There are good recycling practices & water refills available. Great to see! Thank you for a lovely stay James & the team & good luck in the future! I am sure we’ll see you again.Guest review bysarahUnited Kingdom
- From US$53.47 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 320 reviewsA very nice place indeed offering mostly local Farm to Table cuisine . I stayed in the slightly older "Hen" building but all was fine I loved the location too. Handy for a lot of restaurants, a couple of bars and the market. I cannot fault this.Guest review byalecUnited States

Very pleasant medium sized town.
Very pleasant medium sized town. Lively market main road with many restaurants and music. Very nice surroundings with waterfalls, hot water springs and spas. Ideally you'll need a car or at least a bicycle to explore it all. No beaches in Ranong, take a boat to nearby islands.Guest review byLucaCroatia - 10.0
Koh Phayam is a beautiful and chill island.
Koh Phayam is a beautiful and chill island. There is no crazy party culture like on a lot of Thailand's popular islands, but there are amazing, kind, open-minded people (lots of backpackers, also remote workers) and every night you can find a party somewhere, in case you crave one. The island offers beautiful beaches and lots of cute cafes and restaurants. You can either rent a bungalow or a dorm room (I 100% recommend Tropical Hostel). The fun thing about Koh Phayam is that you can get anywhere on the island within 20 minutes on your motorbike, making discovery of the island very accessible. It's a beautiful small community and quickly feels like home.Guest review byRobinNetherlands - 8.0
They have provided us with the room next to the car park lot...
They have provided us with the room next to the car park lot in second floor which is very convenient for us. The room is clean and well organize. It is just nice for one night stay and location is located to nearby eatries outlet make it convenient for us to go out to have our dinner. The staffs is friendly but one set back is that teh hotel does not have a lift to go to the second and third floor. Parking lot is available upon our arrival.Guest review byseebon limMalaysia - 10.0
We (my wife and I) booked or 4 days to check it out.
We (my wife and I) booked or 4 days to check it out. Overall we stayed a good 2 weeks, but in other locations that you can find for cheaper. We loved the island for its beauty and laidbackness. It is a great alternative to the tourist hotspots, for families with kids, couples, travellers, and to a certain extent also nightlife-lovers with some weekly parties of Reggae, Techno/House, Psytrance occurring...of course no comparison to Ko Phangan and mainly old freaks retiring here ;-)Guest review byKurz - 8.0
This made for an interesting short stay.
This made for an interesting short stay. Ranong is not the most exciting of towns, but there was more than enough to see and do on our two days. We were there for Chinese new year and very much enjoyed the large fair in the main street - very much a local affair, lots of families and only a handful of tourists. The Rattana Rangsarn Palace was surprisingly interesting - well displayed information about the visit of the King Rama V, including extracts from a contemporaneous account of his visit. The hot springs on the outskirts of town also merit a visit - boy, is the water hot! The fishing port is absolutely vast and teeming with activity, but this is a proper industrial area, so none of the shoreside seafood restaurants which we were expecting to find. The fishing port section of town sits on the delta of a river, so the shore is muddy and not sandy as you might find slightly lower down the coast. The town is really big - a lot bigger than we expected - so we were glad we had the car to be able to get around. If you happened to be in this part of Thailand, I'd say that you could spend a couple of interesting days here, but it's not a town which is worth going out of your way to visit.Guest review byJo EddingsUnited Kingdom - 10.0

What a beautiful, mostly unspoilt island, lovely beaches, jungle and no cars! Laid back atmosphere. The food was amazing, much, much better than in Koh Tao where we are now. Lovely local people. A real gem - let’s hope it doesn’t go the way of Koh Samui and Koh Tao.Guest review byFionaSpain
