Great new resort, comfortable large villas, delicious breakfast. Common spaces, bar area and pool are well maintained and clean. We used the gym and although not large it had everything we needed. SPA was great to for a massage. Staff was very professional and when we encountered an issue it was resolved very efficiently. Short walk to the beach through Jambiani village.

The hotel was so Ply lovely and amazing. I was so happy that we chose this accommodation. The rooms are beautiful very nice decorated and well thought. The views are amazing and it was a very quite and peaceful place since there are only 13 rooms or something. The pool is huge and the beach setting wonderful. The service was extremely good. Everyone is super friendly and helpful and well trained. The food definitely great as well. The manager , a very friendly Italian person is always around and gives everyone a good feeling, very familiar atmosphere. We loved it and would recommended it warmly !

Couldn’t have stayed somewhere better! Barabara was our home for 4 days and we really didn’t want to leave this place. Although it’s not located by the beach, the small walk to there was always pleasant! Our room was beautiful and super clean but what we loved the most was our coffee/breakfast/lunch/snack area on the rooftop! Everyday we tried different dishes and all of them were too good!! From fresh fruit juices to bowls, eggs, pancakes… everything delicious! It’s a must visit when in Paje even if you’re not hotel guests!

    Location is absolutely superb..paradise.Breakfast was very good, lots of fresh fruit juices meats bacon eggs toast coffee and even Nutella with pancakes and crepes😋 👌 😍 . Service was exceptional at breakfast which is included ..loved my room which was clean and on the beach. I was welcomed with a beautiful flower arrangement 💐 on my bed and throughout the room..room also had a mosquito net which I appreciated. Most friendly and helpful receptionist Elly and Oana not sure of this is the right spelling , great first impressions. They ensured my stay was amazing. Thank you guys❣🌷Overall felt safe loved the stunning beach the location of this hotel and its staff.I also enjoyed a few delicious dinners here as well that were very flavourful and delicious. Great value and was v. pleased with my stay.✔👏💯❤ I recommend this place and hope to be back someday 👌 👏 👍 🙂

    Food=10/10 Staff =10/10 Facilities 10/10 Safety =10/10 The people are so kind and respectful. Imagine being able to just leave your phone and cash by the beach to go for a swim without fear of them being stolen. As a woman, never have I ever felt so safe and respected by men. The staff were very helpful and kind to every encounter. We had a delay at the airport and flight issues, but the staff were so patient and reassuring. They assisted us in getting food in the middle of the night. We really enjoyed the stay and felt very welcomed. I highly recommend the place.

    Paradise! A lovely small resort, I think there’s around 12 rooms so each guest is extremely well looked after by the staff at Belvedere. All staff members were welcoming and helpful with the managers checking in on guests daily. The rooms are fabulous, open your room door and you’re on the beach! The resort takes care of day trips and taxis, or any extra expense and you pay for everything at the end of your stay, which we found very helpful instead of having to haggle prices ect. The resort felt very safe and it’s really well kept.

The lunch served outside on the BBQ was a highlight—fresh, delicious, and perfect for the beachfront setting. The service was exceptional, with friendly staff making sure every need was met. We stayed in a sea view room, which was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Waking up to the sight of the ocean every morning was a dream! Highly recommend!

Extremely friendly and courteous.Always smiling and greeting at every opportunity.A special thanks goes to Fadhila who made us and especially my daughter feel very special and welcome.The Manager was also very friendly and polite.Overall I would rate my stay as exceptional.

    If you have only stayed at Sheraton, Marriott, Ritz, King...

    If you have only stayed at Sheraton, Marriott, Ritz, King George or similar hotels - this is not your place. But if you are looking for clean beaches, clear sea, delicious food, peace, close contact with nature, friendly and courteous staff - this is it. There are many bars and small restaurants along the coast that offer a variety of food. In addition, in the town (of course African) you can buy products that are very fresh, and the people are friendly. Here you can buy handmade jewelry and souvenirs from the local population and the Masai.

    I loved that it was a proper reflection of the Island in that you took home the beauty of the place and kindness of the people. It was not loud or noisy and had very few touristy hotels and vendors hassling you

    This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.

    Beautiful beach, warm and calm ocean to swim in. Lots of eating options, amazing people. Yes, there are people trying to sell you things on the beach - but was quieter than other beaches (Like Paje) and they are all respectful.

    Paje is a very awesome and lively place to visit. As a solo traveller, I had no difficulty looking for activities, places to eat, or party, since they were all around. Definitely a place to visit over and over again

    Jerry is a wonderful Location next to the beach.

    Jerry is a wonderful Location next to the beach. We stayed there for 4 days and enjoyed it The staff was very helpful and supportive. The rooms are nice and clean. And Jambiani is a nice and quiet place to stay. Next time I would go there again.

    Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional...

    Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional always ready to help. They just couldn’t do enough for you. The reception staff especially Yusef were very accommodating especially as we arrived very early from Dar-es-Salam! They let us drop our bags and enjoy all the facilities until our room was ready! We had a wonderful stay in Paradise.

    Just up the beach from Paje town, a little quieter but thats what was nice. Wandered to different restaurants along the beach for lunch and dinner. Limited during off season but enough open. We came via Dar Es Salaam airport and ferry. If you can't get an e-visa before arrival, plan 2hrs to exit the airport. We missed our booked ferry and had to pay again for the last ferry on a different company. Used Zanzibar Quest to book the ferry and transport with exemplary service and support via whatsapp and email. The new travel insurance requirement $50p/p on top of the $50p/p visa fee is a scam that mars the experience. The amount of times we had to show our passport and visa / travel insurance was reminiscent of the cold war. Inefficient and overboard. So if you can fly direct to Zanzibar and use e-visa or have patience and a loose schedule. The drive to the Page beach area took about 1 ½ hrs with the first ⅓ taking ¾ of the time with a typical african road experience. Get a good driver. Driving licenses are issued by testing payment of fee. The driver booked by Zanzibar Quest was excellent. Great beach, wind was consistent during the afternoon to either kite or cool down. Bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent. Not a fan of the immigration process or the fees.

    I've been in Makunduchi before and if you don't want to be in the tourist hotspot it is great! The beach is fantastic (but be aware of the low and high tides). I would recommend arranging for a driver to get around as there are many great places to visit and you shouldn't stay put in just one place.
