I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The property is located right on a beautiful sandy beach with crystal-clear turquoise waters, making it the perfect spot to relax. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise, offering a good variety of options like meats, fresh fruits, and eggs made to order—though it’s not a buffet. The room was spacious and exceeded my expectations, and the bathroom was equally roomy. The water pressure was great, and I had a lovely sea view from the balcony. Internet was fast and reliable throughout my stay, which made working remotely a breeze. Plus, the hotel has a generator, so there were no issues with power outages. During the day, I enjoyed working in a quiet, shaded area of the hotel, and in the evenings, I dined on fresh seafood with wine right on the patio by the sea—such a special experience. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing a detailed note with local price tips to avoid being overcharged, and sharing some great information about the island. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing, stress-free stay with good service and a beautiful setting!

I had the pleasure of staying at The Oasis Residence in Jambiani, and the experience was absolutely amazing! The hotel is newly opened, extremely modern, and very well maintained. The accommodation was spacious and very comfortable, with impeccable cleanliness. The property features two modern pools surrounded by numerous palm trees and lush vegetation, creating a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. The hotel’s restaurant serves delicious food, and the staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. The dining experience at Gold Zanzibar was unparalleled, with each dinner made even more special by planned nightly live music and performances that added an unforgettable ambiance. However, it was the extraordinary staff that truly set this experience apart. Among them, Baraza stood out for his extreme politeness, helpfulness, and attentiveness, embodying the exceptional level of service that makes Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa not just a hotel, but a memorable experience. Everything at the hotel was exceptional. Staff were amazing and impeccable . The rooms were really clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. The buffet meals were really diverse, delicious and we found them excellent and didn't have the need to try the other restaurants. Beach was absolutely gorgeous- it didn't matter low or high tide, we could use it any time of the day. Absolutely recommend!

Fantastic property, friendly and hospitable staff, good location, lovely beach. We stayed in the Villa with Private Pool. The size of the villa was big with two separate rooms and two showers. It also has a large sitting area outside next to the pool. The size of the private pool is quite big. We were half board. The food and variety at Breakfast & Dinner was good.

Beautiful beach with a decent selection of restaurants and bars. I loved the Fish Market restaurant and kept going back. Amazing blue sea, powder soft sand and great location for sunset. As a female solo traveller I didn’t like constant hassle from men dressed as Masai.

Kiwengwa is an amazing place , only annoying this is the amount of African people that hassle you on the beach - men dressed as masi that are not from the the masi Maru tribe ( pretending they are ) and annoying you when you trying to enjoy a peaceful walk it is over bearing and no one wants that on their holiday - was most beaches in Zanzibar !!

Matemwe is a perfect destination for anyone who wants peace and quiet, but still has access to great activities. You can easily arrange dolphin watching and swimming tours – look for Captain Lucho, he helped us with everything and made the experience amazing. A beautiful and relaxing place to stay!

Kendwa beach was definitely the best beach compared to Nungwi, especially the south part. Even in low tide it was easy to take a swim. Also the beach here is wider and feel less crowded. As on the complete stretch there were many people trying to sell you stuff but on the south part not so many ”permanent” sales people other than the ones having sheds. The Maasai roaming around are friendly but just say no with a smile and most will not be persistent in their effort to sell you something..

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten...

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.

I loved that it was a proper reflection of the Island in that you took home the beauty of the place and kindness of the people. It was not loud or noisy and had very few touristy hotels and vendors hassling you
