I stayed 20 days at Canary Hotel & SPA in Nungwi and it was truly exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome every single day, always with a smile and genuine kindness. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained, and the facilities – from the bowling alley to the pool and spa – made our stay unforgettable. The location is perfect, just a short walk from Nungwi Beach, yet peaceful and relaxing. After 20 days, I can say this hotel really felt like home. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Zanzibar!

A Slice of Paradise at Zanzibella Hotel We had the most wonderful stay at Zanzibella Hotel and can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and genuine kindness. A special shoutout to Eggla, Ramadan, Josef, Richard and Maureen—along with the rest of the amazing staff—who truly made our days unforgettable with their friendliness and care. Our room was perfect: spacious, clean and the bed—massive and incredibly comfortable. We slept like babies every night. The location is a dream. Right on the beach, in a peaceful and calm setting. The garden is breathtaking, full of colorful flowers and birds singing in the trees—it truly felt like a little paradise. The hotel restaurant was another highlight. Every dish we tried was delicious, but we especially loved the daily “catch of the day” featuring different fresh fish, and the grilled octopus was just mouthwatering. Zanzibella has stolen our hearts, and we already hope to return soon!

My stay at Babalao Bungalows was simply exquisite! The service was top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure that all my needs were met. The bungalows themselves are beautifully designed and provide a perfect blend of comfort and cleaneness. Additionally, I was delighted to discover that they now offer a massage service! We love this place! They welcomed us with lovely flower arrangements up on our arrival, and local fruits. The room was clean and well kept. The place is quiet and relaxing. The food was great, everything fresh and a large choice. Now for the service, everyone went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We celebrated our wedding aniversary and they were very intentional in preparing our moment. Thank you so much Bovly, Edwin, Dori, Edina, Lucy and all the staff members (sorry I don’t know all the names). We recomend this place 300%

Everything exellent, service always with smile from staff, beds are so confortable, very fast wifi, spotless clean, garden full of beatiful plants and trees, aircon working perfect, i can recommend to everybody come and stay have wonderfull experience. Also breakfast and dinner was really teasty. Another plus they arrange all kind of tour and transports really good prices for island, you dont have to go shop around, thank you guys make my stay wonderfull with beatiful memories. Bu the way they also have tanzanian music and dance show i come a cross in hotel was amazing too

This cozy beachside resort offers a peaceful, serene escape with exceptional service. The owner, Loay, is incredibly hospitable and always available on WhatsApp to attend to any needs including your meal order, excursion plans etc. (I have yet to see this service at another resort). Rufina, the friendly and attentive waitress, made every meal enjoyable. Unlike other resorts, this one has fewer hawkers, allowing for a more relaxed experience. It’s the perfect spot for relaxation, with a personal touch that makes you feel right at home. Highly recommended!
