- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,470 reviewsOur room faced the port, was a good size with comfy bed and suitable furniture. The bathroom was small as other reviews mentioned but it was acceptable for the 2 of us. The hotel is in an historic building and the lobby has maintained its character and beauty. The room was renovated some time ago but we still loved its ambience. Paid parking, which was located in an attached city parkade, was a bit confusing at first but it all worked out in the end. The Francis Marion Hotel is centrally located with easy access to downtown sights as well as to the port. We certainly loved our tour of the USS Yorkton. We went to the Swamp Fox restaurant twice and enjoyed both of our meals there. The Francis Marion Hotel is great value for a stay in Charleston. We would definitely stay there again.Guest review byPhilCanada
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 134 reviewsAll the staff was superlative. We especially appreciated the gracious and friendly table service of the breakfast staff. The location was perfect for walking the historic district (2 blocks to City Market, 1 bock to Gibbs Museum). Parking was available directly behind hotel just 10 feet from the back entrance - and access to the building from front and back required no stairs (!) - unusual in Charleston and a real plus for our group traveling with elderly. Charming open air courtyard and outdoor tables. The wine and cheese hour and sherry all evening were bonuses!Guest review byKATHLEENUnited States

The staff was exceptional with genuine kindness, care, consideration, knowledge of area, and great sense of humor. Very helpful but not in an over bearing way. Parking great and included. Heated pool and pool area very spacious and looked right out to the ocean. Bar and meal choices even room service very comparable and convenient.Guest review byLynnItaly
- From US$1,383.96 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 132 reviewsGreat location in the heart of Charleston. Beautiful facility. Gets its name from the renovation of several older buildings. Wine and cheese every night in the lounge area. Rooms are spacious, well appointed with small kitchenette and complimentary sodas and sparkling water, cheese and crackers in the refrig. We've stayed here before and will stay here again. Gorgeous buildings, beautiful and spacious room, incredible staff, lovely attention to every detail. I’ve stayed at several high-end hotels in Charleston and Zero George is hands down the best! - From US$253.12 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 333 reviewsI loved staying at this resort. The rooms were beautiful, and the view from the hotel was spectacular. We enjoyed s'mores by the firepits as well as live music in the evening. It was great to see the kids enjoying the Easter egg hunt. Breakfast and dinner at the Fish House were great. We also enjoyed the water taxi to visit Charleston.Guest review byChantalUnited Kingdom

Charleston is a fascinating city to visit.
Charleston is a fascinating city to visit. There is so much to see and not enough time to see it all. AND the food is absolutely terrific. We did not have any meal while we in Charleston that was not supreme. We definitely want to come back.Guest review byLove - 8.0
We have family there so we visit every 3 months.
We have family there so we visit every 3 months. Lots of traffic but it flows quickly enough. Gives you time to check out shops as you are sitting in traffic. We love the "old town" section. The shops are awesome. And if you happen to go between April & September the Farmers Market is wonderful!Guest review byJimUnited States - 10.0

Isle of Palms is the excellent place. There is everything - Ocean, the giant beach with gold sand, silence, stories (gifts, swimming kit, grocery), restaurants with southern hospitality and southern dishes. And Amazing nature and cleanliness!!!Guest review byEugeniaUnited States - 4.0

We didn’t have hot water for 2days, out elevator was broken for 2 days, they gave me a room on the third floor and I have 2 infants with me, couldn’t find anyone to help us out with strollers and luggage. And on top of that they would not change us to the first floor. Definitely a place to NEVER come back EVER again.Guest review byCassioUnited States - 6.0

The stay was fine, of course new pillows and sheets should be placed on the beds. The pillows were very old as if you were at home and needed to buy new ones. The sheets were very beaded and need to be thrown away. The staff is not friendly nor hospitable at all. They definitely need to work on their customer service skills.Guest review byLaQuitaUnited States - 10.0
The island is beautiful and designed for relaxation.
The island is beautiful and designed for relaxation. We did not golf but it is big there. There are many rules on the island which my friend did not like and she thought the people were uppity. We only had bikes and you really do need a car to get groceries and in case of rain. You will get stuck there without transportation. Also since we did not have a car, I did not print the pass that was sent to us by our Airbnb host. We took a Lyft to Kiawah and had to pay a $20 entrance fee to the island. Had we taken an Uber or printed out the car pass, we could have avoided this fee. We were not told about that. Overall, I would go again and be better prepared the next time.Guest review byDebbieUnited States - 8.0
Seabrook Island itself is a gem.
Seabrook Island itself is a gem. The beaches were beautifully uncrowded, and we were constantly surrounded by incredible wildlife—deer, cranes, barn owls, dolphins, and even jumping fish! It felt like we were immersed in nature the entire time. We also loved exploring the nearby Freshfields Village, which had great food options and a charming atmosphere.Guest review byJfabulous29United States - 10.0
If you love history Charleston is a must!
If you love history Charleston is a must! We loved the historic walking tour we took. It is a beautiful city! It was extremely charming and clean. There are many wonderful restaurants and lots of great shopping on King Street and the City Market. We stayed on King Street and walked everywhere that we went with the exception of one restaurant and that’s because it was raining.Guest review byWalters - 10.0

I have always enjoyed my stay at Holiday Inn and Suites. Rooms are very nice with comfortable beds. This location has a grocery store across the parking lot so if you want snacks or beverages you can walk across. The area is very nice with restaurants close by as well. Hotel staff is very nice.Guest review byYvonne
