The proprietors are delightful and responsive. They take good care of the little apartment built over a garage in a very inviting way. It has a personal touch with real privacy too. The proximity to LimeRock Race Track was our chief requirement as organizers of an annual cycling event there. Being able to cook until late at night to prep for the event, and wake at 4:45am in a very comfortable bed, and just roll over to the venue through a divine New England landscape was perfect. The best place we’ve ever stayed in for such an event.

The space was very cozy and felt like home. Lots of interesting tchotchkes, and lots of open space in the backyard. Loved hanging out with the cats! And there were snacks and coffee, which was lovely. The host even offered to drive me to and from the mechanic, which was so nice! I cannot wait to come back!!

I arrived at around 10:30pm after 24+ hours of flight from Taipei to JFK with three hours of driving and a welcome reception by the event organizer, i only saw a sign at the locked door of the hotel with my name on it, saying that the key is at the door of Room 1 (so that the whole world can see who stays in the room of this motel?) I realized that this means that no one was at the desk to serve or willing to do so. When i entered the room, it smells and the sink is dirty with hairs. No towels, no shampoo or soap. As I had been travelling by then for almost 30 hours and needed a shower, I had to the local gas station to buy them. It turns out that there’s NO HOT WATER! I tried the next morning for at least 20 minutes but still in vein. I left for the whole day meetings without taking a shower for 40 hours and in disbelief! Moments later, someone in the name of Anju Patel called me at least 7 times, during my profesional meetings, claiming that I put on hold my credit card with no intention to pay. (I booked thro Booking.com and it’s not possible to withhold any credit info!) It looks like the manager screwed up the second time! Extremely upset with the terrible condition in the room and lack of services, I nevertheless provided the credit card info again. Then Patel for unknown reason asked for credit info one more time during my intensive, back-to-back meetings. I just couldnt believe it! I’ve never seen this before in my whole life traveling around the world including the States! Simply put, this hotel has no business in the hospitality at all! If Booking.com (or any other third-parties) continues to work with this hotel, I will reconsider to continue to be a customer of Booking.com!

THE Ct Machinery Museum and the Edward Sloan Museum were the highlights. The $12 parking fee at Kent Falls was a serious rip off and the system was terrible as it relied on none existing cell service

The Inn was a respite and bit of relief in the hectic world.

The Inn was a respite and bit of relief in the hectic world. The rooms were so clean and inviting! The common sitting area and dining room were homey and comfortable. The water and wine and beer available to tired travelers checking in was such a nice touch. We were thrilled with the screened-in porch, as a second option for folks who need to be virus-vigilant, as a place to eat the lovely breakfast provided. The pool seating also serves as a nice option. Many charming towns and excellent restaurants are nearby—the location is great. We highly recommend and would stay again, and longer!
