Everything was way over priced! I would not go back on a vacation only to see a concert. I would fly in the day before and fly out the day after. You all got greedy, and our shoving the middle class people out. If you want to save Las Vegas from being a gost town drop the room surcharge per nite, drop the minium bet on tables from $25 to $5 to $10 dollars, and stop price gouging us on the food. Next time if I come back to Las Vegas I will stay in the old part of Las Vegas, you have ruined the new Las Vegas, it's not fun anymore. This is not the Laughlin of prior visits. I haven't been there since COVID hit and apparently it did a number on this town. A couple of the hotels have shut down. There was no one playing on the river. Our view of Mesquite is entirely based at Casa Blanca. We actually leave our home in North Las Vegas to come here for a getaway and to use the spa. We came for the Star Train and were not disappointed by the trip. Definitely check out the Nevada Northern Railway when in Ely. They offer a number of different train rides, and the self-guided walking tour is also worthwhile. The Star Train is especially lovely, taking passengers out to the desert at night to a star viewing area, with telescopes and accompanied by professional astronomers. Pahrump is a bit of a drive from Las Vegas but it is worth the drive if you want to leave the glitz behind. We were in the area for the Ron Fellows Driving School but we did try to explore the area while we were there.
