Nature at its Most Awesome
Home to one of the world’s most famous waterfalls, Niagara Falls is a town in Canada, not to be confused with its namesake on the other side of the river in the USA.
The Canadian town offers the best views of Niagara Falls, which are actually 3 waterfalls on the Niagara River. The main Horseshoe Falls magnificently thunders water over and bursts into spray as it hits the river. This spray is the inspiration for "Maid of the Mist", a boat that takes you close to the base of the falls – a fantastic photo opportunity.
Just downstream are the Bridal Veil Falls, the smallest of the 3, and next to them are the much larger American Falls. Both of these are in the USA, whereas the Horseshoe Falls crosses the border. You can also cross the border into the United States by walking over the Rainbow Bridge – just check your visa requirements first.
Many of the Canada Niagara Falls hotels are located by the riverside, so some offer fantastic views of these fabulous waterfalls. There are also lots of Niagara Falls hotels on Booking.com, so these are a convenient option if you arrive by car.

This allowed us to get some well needed rest after a long drive before we ventured out. Another desk employee named Greg was super in recommending things to see and places to eat. Greg was always helpful answering any questions that we had. The breakfast was an unexpected surprise. It was super and more than we could eat. I also learned how to French press coffee for the first time. The location was great for our walking tour but even better because, one of the main reasons for coming here was to visit the Greg Frewin magic show which is located right next store. I've been visiting Niagara Falls a few times a year for over 3 decades. While it has so much to offer in the natural wonder, everything else has become disappointing. It's just a giant $$$ grab. They have altered the road that runs along the falls so there's no chance to even hesitate to enjoy the beauty. Because we had a rental car, we did not visit the Canadian side. The falls are spectacular. The Maid of the Mist boat ride captures the experience for $30/each. The trolley takes you to Goat Island for the best view. It is a great place for a two day stay.Guest review byRicket
