I was born and raised in Lompoc, graduated from LUHS in 1962. Obviously, the town has changed a great deal since then. I've attended a few of my high school reunions. I remember when the Lompoc Inn and Suites was a new venue. I miss the acres and acres and acres of flower fields, although there are still some.Guest review byBarbaraUnited States - 10.0

What a great small city, beautiful beautiful place and peaceful I’d live there in a heartbeat if I could You will breathe fresh air which is a huge bonus from where I come from! Just down the street is the infamous Solvang, which is a great place to shop and has lots of yummy places to eat. I like to go down and stroll the shops and hit up a pub and have a hamburger and a beer or a glass of wine. One thing I really like about Buellton, is Solvang is literally less than five minutes down the road. Such an amazing and fun little town! This is where I’m going to come shopping for Christmas presents because the shops there are amazing. You can find something for everyone, even on a budget. There is a trolly too! Wine tasting is so much fun! The candy shops are yummy too!Guest review byKellyUnited States - 2.0
Lompoc was fine, but the hotel was horrible.
Lompoc was fine, but the hotel was horrible. The reply they gave to my negative review was insulting and untrue. If I hadn't had every minute committed to doing things, I would have found and gone to another hotel. The "manager" was rude and didn't care about meeting my needs at all. What a jerk.Guest review byLaura DeweyUnited States - 10.0

My family and friend groups have been coming to the Buellton/Santa Ynez/Solvang area for wine tasting and events for 30 years. I have been a member of many wineries over the years and love spending time in the area. Favorite wineries include Foxen, Lincourt, Firestone, Brickbarn, Beckman & Brander. We love to eat at Brothers at the Red Barn and Industrial Eats. The Figueroa Mountain Brewery and Firestone Brewery are great places to eat and usually have live music as well. I also love to visit the Clairmont Lavender Farm and buy Olive Oil from Olive Hill.Guest review byPatriciaUnited States - 10.0

The weather is always a perfect mid 70's and perfect for walking the beach trails. With several local eateries you can choose from local wineries to a corner taco truck. If your interested in spending some time at the local casino or visiting the Solvang Village they are both a close distance away.Guest review byForrestUnited States - 8.0
Buellton is a small town just off HWY 101.
Buellton is a small town just off HWY 101. The advantage of staying in Buellton is that it's in the center of Santa Barbara's wine country. There are vineyards with wine tasting nearby, and a variety of restaurants, Solvang, a Danish-style village, is 3 miles east of Buellton and Lompoc is about 12 miles west, where you can visit La Purisima Mission. Established in 1787, it is the most extensively restored mission in the state, restored to the 1820's mission era.Guest review byEmilUnited States
