This is a beautiful place to visit. You are surrounded by trees and nature. The cottage we got was very clean and cozy. They have a small store that is packed with anything you might need. The outside has a good size parking area. And management is very informative. We had a great time, and we highly recommend this place.

This hotel was absolutely fabulous. Totally exceeded our expectations for this price point. The room was spacious and the shower nice and hot. The kids loved having a bath with a proper plug to splash around in. Great opening times for the guest laundry. Good sized fridge in the room. Location was great, close to Yosemite Valley, but in a town so you could get things you needed. The font desk staff were fabulous, went out of their way to explain the town and answer any questions. The hot and cold beverages available anytime in reception were a nice touch. Great lighting in the room, I could actually see into my suitcase 🤣.

Great customer service from Forest when there was a fault with our room door & my husband couldn't get in, tried all avenues, and got him a room free of charge. Just wanted to say thank you to all staff involved, including Amanda. Staff recommended great places to eat and the rooms are very clean & comfortable. Hotel is near Yosemite which we highly recommend seeing; and to do a day tour with Discover Yosemite. Would happily stay here again.

FAQs about hotels in Yosemite National Park

Nature at its Immaculate Best

UNESCO World Heritage-listed Yosemite National Park is famous for spectacular granite rocks, plunging waterfalls and crystal clear lakes, immortalised in Ansel Adams photographs. Half Dome is its most famous peak and there is a hiking route up if you’ve got the energy.

At its feet is Yosemite Village, home to the only Yosemite hotels inside the park. Nearby is sheer El Capitan, popular with rock climbers, and the Cathedral Rocks where the Bridalveil Fall plummets to the ground. The Tunnel View observation point offers magnificent views of all this.

The Yosemite Falls are the highest in North America, but the park’s real beauty is just being surrounded by immaculate nature. From summer to winter Yosemite has a special draw attracting visitors year after year. It also attracts a wide range of native American wildlife including black bears, mountain beavers and coyotes.

South-west of the park is the forest of giant sequoias at Mariposa Grove. Mariposa itself is by Yosemite Airport and Oakhurst to the south has a good range of accommodation. El Portal has the closest hotels to Yosemite. On the eastern side, June Lake and Mammoth Lakes also have Yosemite hotels near the park available on Booking.com. Wherever you stay, bear in mind that some roads do get closed in case of heavy snow.

This was a last minute booking enroute from Yosemite to LA. It was such a relief to find such a beautiful hotel, with many food options, very comfortable and quiet rooms as well as helpful, friendly staff. I have travelled to the USA on multiple occassions and I would rate this as one of the best hotels I have stayed at in the USA and very good value for money. Also security was top notch - checked our passports/ID everytime we wanted to get to our room. Heaps of parking available in main carpark but also can have valet parking.

We booked the Awhahnee house, which is not on the hotel property but a 20 min drive away. This was not clear on booking.com but it did not dissapoint at all. The house is massive, great views of a very big balcony and great location. I don't recommend arriving like we did, very late at night but we came from San Francisco so that was on us. Most of the bedrooms had ensuite bathrooms which were very clean. Would happily visit again!

Car park included, good wifi and a general store with affordable prices with most of the things you could need. Also coffee available in your room. We even extended for one more night

We were only there for one night because we needed to rest before heading to Yosemite National Park, but I was impressed. I had never slept in a yurt before and found it to be a very comfortable and spacious place. Very good location where I can definitely imagine staying longer than just one night. Mammoth Lakes is a nature wonderland!

Mammoth Lakes is a nature wonderland! Known as a ski area but there is so much more than winter sports. There are many lakes, hiking, biking, and walking trails to explore both in Mammoth and nearby. The fall colors were exceptional. Many of the restaurants were closed early in the week and only open weekends or renovating for the upcoming winter season but we were still able to find good meals at locally owned restaurants. We explored Convict Lake, Mamie Lake, Mary Lake, the June Lake/Silver Lake Loop.

The pools are great! The restaurant is AWFUL! I'd rather eat my shoe than eat at that restaurant! The bar/grill are ok, certainly better than the restaurant, but that is speaking relatively... The store is very nice, offering a good variety of snacks and drinks. The location is very good, just a few miles away from the Yosemite entrance. The staff were friendly and responsive. The rooms were clean, and, thankfully, the AC worked well (it was 109 degrees when we were there!). The bathroom lights turned on automatically whenever someone entered the room, which we didn't like, and would have liked a way to turn that feature off.

Would highly recommend to anybody who loves nature and hiking, and wants to avoid having to drive into Yosemite Valley + find parking everyday. There's a few nice restaurants within Curry Village, including a bar (get the smashed burger), a pizza stall, and a dining hall-style canteen. There's also a small grocery store and outdoor gear store where you can buy anything you forgot to bring on the trip. Overall, a wonderful location that I would definitely stay in again.

Fish camp is pretty remote.

Fish camp is pretty remote. There's a general store nearby that has some essentials but be prepared to spend a pretty penny if you need anything. Recommended to get supplies on your way in from Oakhurst and drive in to Fish Camp. Overall its the perfect spot to be close to Yosemite. For me personally I'd rather be close to the park than close to town.

Small town about an hour out of Yosemite. We didn't leave our cabin except to drive up to Yosemite so we didn't really experience the town. Hadn't taken this route into Yosemite before so was delighted to find the drive from Midpines into the valley to be really beautiful.
