The rooms were incredible, each room has a theme related to a constellation, I personally thought that was genius! The rooms were well equipped and spacious, by the way the coffee available in the room is amazing (and Netflix was available). Staff were beyond anything we had anticipated, Justice was so kind to us from checkin to checkout, he even went as far as to booking a restaurant dinner on our behalf. The other lady even offered me a longer towel while I was using their swimming pool, so I wouldn't burn my feet (that's how far they go in terms of kindness and excellence). The owners are also incredible, extremely friendly and approachable. Breakfast was served in the premises and it is amazing, they offer a great variety of items. Location, it is close to the airport, not much around the area in terms of restaurants/shops, but it is a very quiet street which made sleep quality great. The swimming pool area was unfinished but nonetheless, the pool itself was tidy and ready to use. Overall, this hotel is in my top 5 hotels (seriously).

Fantastic experience at Morgan Bay, so good we returned to M Bay, a week later, the day before we flew out from East London. As a bonus we got upgraded (Thanks you Nicola! at Reception) to a sea facing room next to the swimming pool. I think we were one of the few that used it that particular day, A tad windy just like home in Ireland. The facilities & room etc. were excellent & the staff couldn't have been friendlier. The Ernie Els red was sublime. Great experience also at the Spa, great way to while away an hour & feeling so refreshed after the pedicure & massage. Very nice touch having the Breakfast menu personalised with the guests names & a little info. on their stay etc. 10/10 for that. Next the food, breakfast was lovely with the freshly, a great array of food & the fried eggs done as we waited, a nice touch. Lovely slices of Cake to finish off. Enjoyed our snack at 6 in the bar before we headed in for a delicious seafood banquet with an array of fish & shellfish that was tricky to finish, but finish it we did, all washed down by the recommended white on the night by the attentive staff. Well worth the detour off the highway to this gem of a spot & all within an hour of East London. Do not miss the opportunity.

The cottage was absolutely stunning! The location and the view is simply amazing! The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large and spacious. The outdoor bath and shower was spectacular. The cottage was situated right on the cliff a distance away from the other cottages, which gave the impressionof complete privacy. There were fresh flowers and wood for the fireplace as we arrived, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the restaurant the first evening and the food was wonderful. The cottage isn’t the cheapest, but absolutely worth the price. Will definitely return to this place!

This location is the perfect couples getaway. All of the rooms are at least 40 meters apart and boast some magnificient views of the Zuurberg mountains. Dinner and drinks prices were more than acceptable and Camp Figtree was the highlight of my month long stay in South Africa. Staff were amazing too and we especially enjoyed our interactions with Siya and Mzi.

The general degradation of SA coastal towns is evident and is costing the economy hundreds of millions as tourists are put off by high crime rates, poor service in some shops and municipal lethargy. Water restrictions are in place due to poor planning by unqualified municipal executives. Municipalities need to raise standards by hiring people who can prove their effectiveness and have qualifications and/or experience with testimonials. MacArthur pool was empty. Indifference seems to be the order of the day. Makro is a great store to visit. Addo game park is also recommended. Cape Recife is a great drive. The weather was warm and traffic flowed well.

Born and bread in Port Elizabeth, the City has a lot of amazing sites to visit. At the heart of the Donkin Reserve stands the striking Stone Pyramid Monument, built by Sir Rufane Donkin, the Acting Governor of the Cape Colony in the 1820s. He erected the pyramid in 1820 as a touching tribute to his beloved wife, Lady Elizabeth Donkin, after whom the city was named (Port Elizabeth) to the 50m high Campanile Memorial with a climb of 204 steps offering a magnificent view of the harbor and surroundings.

I liked the cleanliness of the room and the friendly staff. I wish you can improve on your breakfast, put more effort on it and also use nice tasty sausage. I couldn’t use the phone in the room to make phone calls to the reception so I had to use mine which was not fair. The food at the restaurant was delicious and I didn’t even have to go out.
