- From US$211.19 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 185 reviewsThe moment we stepped after a long drive into Turaco Lodge we were embraced by Terry and Trudy like long lost family members. They kindly toured us around, explained everything such as honesty bar, coffee machine and showed us our suite with living room, two bedrooms and ensuite bathroom. Everything was shipshape and when I had a glimpse in Terrie's stock/service room I understood why: there is a very organized, orderly mind in charge. This order showed throughout our stay. Wether a superbly prepared breakfast basket by the staff at 4am ready for game drives, or a neatly braai (traditional SA barbecue) set up with finest south african meat delicacies...it was always ideal. The owner himself, Marcel, a lovable fellow, who takes guest entertainment and their well being seriously, was grilling the outstanding meat to perfection. Terry, Trudy and Marcel shared their fast and in depth knowledge of all animals in the park with us and particularly Terry is a nature enthusiast par excellence. One more issue: Marcel has a good contact for game drives. His name is Dirk Grove and he is one of the most outstanding guides we ever experienced. Very skilled and reliable driver, always on the lookout for animals, well learned about their behaviour and more than lucky to find them. We saw with him a leopard with his kill resting on a thick branch in the shade, 13 rhinos, among them a mother and her calf and a pride of three large male lions and six lionesses gathering up for the nightly hunt in a river bed. A game drive with Dirk is something special! Highly recommended. The lodge patio is regularly visited by the free roaming animals (impala, kudu, zebra, vervet monkeys, bushbabies or Galagos etc) in Marloth park. Lovely sights indeed.Guest review byThomasPhilippines
- From US$107.91 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 442 reviewsWe stayed in the Swazi Experience Villa which was an excellent choice, the outdoor area looked into the bush and we saw most of the wildlife on offer in Marloth Park, from creepy crawlies to a family of warthogs right on our doorstep. The Villa itself was well appointed and everywhere was immaculately cleaned daily.Guest review byBrownUnited Kingdom

- From US$225.04 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 41 reviewsThe place is magical! The house surrounded us with African warmth and comfort. Nowhere else have we seen such a richly detailed environment. The reality even surpasses the photos of the cottage. It's a pity that we only stayed for one night.Guest review byIliaRussia

There was an adquate number of restaurants.
There was an adquate number of restaurants. The shops were very sparing and contained basic goods. Security was good. The only downside was the additional time taken to get there because of extensive road works after Bombela (Nelspruit) and the inordinate volume of slow moving coal trucks going back and forth to Mozambique.Guest review byDaveSouth Africa - 8.0

We use Malelane as our last stop into Kruger. Being 7 hours away not only is it a good resting stop after a long drive but also the opportunity to stock up on Supplies. There is everything you need at the Mall. Between Spar & now Woolworths you are able to stock up well. Nice and close to entrance to Kruger.Guest review byJiff RobertSouth Africa - 8.0

A nice place to be. Not enough for a short stay.
A nice place to be. Not enough for a short stay. There is so much to do and see if you visit a place a few days. The Kruger Park is within reach. The eateries are relatively a few km away. Rural but very nice experience for an urban person.Guest review byAbbeySouth Africa - 10.0
