Set in Ella, 15 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge, Majentra Ella offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. We had an amazing experience at this lovely hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the greenery surrounding the property, felt like stepping into a peaceful paradise. It even rained heavily on our first day, which added to the charm and made the scenery even more magical the next morning. The bungalow was spacious of 2 stories, comfortable, and beautifully designed. There are only four bungalows on the property, which makes the atmosphere very private and serene. What really stood out was the team running the place. Though small and long working hours, they were super friendly, attentive, and professional. Everything from check-in to meals was handled with such care. Speaking of meals, the food was delicious! Every dish we had was fresh and full of flavor. they do breakfast on tray basis and not buffet since the number of guest are limited. They call you the night before to ask on the type each person would like to order.

The best staying! Highly recommended! The owner is sooooo friendly and nice, he is thoughtful and careful, helped arranged everything and booked us a wonderful safari trip with reasonable price. I would love to recommend to everyone who love nature and good vibes.

The stay was perfect! The rooms.where huge and clean. I felt like l'm on a tree home. Breakfast is fabulous. The best traditional food, had on our trip. It was calm and peaceful stay.

Located in Ella, within 3.3 km of Demodara Nine Arch Bridge and 46 km of Hakgala Botanical Garden, Unagolla Edge Resort & Garden Retreat provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi as well as... Visiting Ella and staying in this homestay just outside the city centre was the highlight of my recent trip to Sri Lanka. The accommodation represents excellent value for money and was more than adequate for the time I spent there. The room was large in size and the homestay in general was built to what I thought was a high level of quality with very high ceilings and lots of wood used throughout the building. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was designed to a high standard. This was easily one of the best examples of a homestay I say anywhere in Sri Lanka. What I found really excellent about this place was the staff, Over the several days I spent at this homestay I got to know Pasindu and Noman and given the excellent rapport I got with these guys I decided to do Wild Steps tour with Pasindu, which was basically a motorbike tour to all the major sites for one day, which I left all the travel planning and guiding to Pasindu. I also was easily convinced on my last night to take part in a Sri Lankan cooking class at the homestay with Noman and Pasindu which gave me a great deal of insight of how to make Sri Lankan food. This involved going to the local market and buying a bunch of ingredients and then coming back to the homestay and making a feast. Both activities were absolutely fantastic! What I can't express enough is what legends both of these guys were and how excellent this accommodation was. In hindsight if I planned my itinerary again I probably would have skipped the rest of my trip going down to the coast (Tangelle, Merissa and Galle) and would have spent the time in Ella, backtracking back to Colombo via Kandy and spending more time in the cultural triangle.

We didn’t plan this trip much, it was a sudden stay at Andriyala, but it turned out to be amazing! We stayed in the Deluxe Room and really enjoyed it. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautiful. The place is quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxing. The pool and the view were wonderful, especially in the evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. Even though it was not a planned trip, it became one of our best stays. We would love to come back again!
