We really enjoyed the balconies and the comfortable room. Stephan gave us all sorts of helpful information about things to see and do. He really made us feel welcome right from the start. We had a great stay.

Loved this wonderful house which was right on the Wachau way in Weißenkirchen. Stefan and his partner are friendly, kind hosts who were very helpful and knowledgeable.

The location is tricky to get to if you have a car given the narrow alleys, but worth the trek once you find it. Parking is just up the street.

Stefan and Denise are the ultimate hosts. They have created a magical guesthouse overlooking the town and the Danube River. The guesthouse is perfectly appointed in every way and we were amazed by its historical provenance. Weissenkirschen is a great spot along the Danube because the town is charming (without the crowds you'll find in Durnstein) and is strategically positioned to explore both ends of the Wachau Valley.

Being new to the area the general location was relatively easy to find but the specific property was a bit more difficult

If you are walking from the bus, be prepared for some stairs in the town. Nothing that can be helped, of course, it is just the way the town is on a hill, but don’t be surprised. Lol

The view was amazing and the owners and their family were so nice and very helpful. Breakfast was great and the breakfast area was a terrace overlooking the Wachau Valley. We were directed to a neighbor‘s winery where we had a great meal with local wine and chatted with townspeople. A great experience all the way around.
