The accommodation is very modern and has lots of automatic features. It is also quite spacious and almost every bedroom has its own bathroom. Lots of space for food preparation. Balcony with grill.

Everything met or exceeded my expectations.

Mark and Jo were super friendly, active, and truly dedicated Britain hosts made my stay exceptional. The apartment was very nice, modern, and smartly designed — it honestly felt like staying in a 5-star hotel. (not sure why it is rated as 3 star property in booking.com!) The breakfast was delicious, and they even prepared fried or scrambled eggs upon request, which was a lovely touch. Communication was excellent, with very quick responses through the Booking.com chat, making everything smooth and easy. The location was perfect — close to both Gosausee and Hallstatt, making it convenient for exploring the area. I also loved the host’s thoughtful idea of adding a Espresso (Coffee) machine, billiard and foosball table in the living room — a fun way to relax and enjoy some downtime (of course, not after 21:00). With this amazing stay and the wonderful places nearby, I’m already planning to visit Hallstatt again in the near future — and I’ll definitely rebook the same unit. Overall, a fantastic experience with great hospitality and comfort. Highly recommended!

We stayed as a couple for 3 nights in this beautiful house with lovely views from the room and the breakfast terrace. Amazing breakfast and good location to go hiking and visit lake Gosau, with the bus stop just outside. Mark and Jo were really friendly and gave us good tips on what to do, great conversations and made us feel very welcome! Thanks so much for a delightful stay!

Mark and Jo gave us the warmest welcome imaginable. Both were kind, friendly, and created an incredible sense of warmth and hospitality. It was such a pleasure to chat with them over breakfast. I’m really detail-oriented when it comes to cleanliness, and this place is absolutely spotless—every corner of the house is impeccably clean and smells amazing. The mattresses are perfect even for those like me who suffer from back pain. We can’t wait to return to Haus Friedrich—it was a perfect stay and we can only recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at Haus Friedrich. The room is clean, smart and with nice view. We love the playroom also. The breakfast was delicious and generous! There are many activities to do in the area. Above all, Jo & Mark are very friendly hosts! Their hospitality made us feel like we were visiting relatives in Austria. We enjoyed our stay so much that we didn't want to leave. We highly recommend Haus Friedrich!

I just missed a trash can in the room.

The surroundings were picturesque, like something out of a fairy tale. We had a delicious and fresh breakfast in the morning. They even had a pool table and a foosball table at the place.

I can't really bring up anything we didn't like. It was pretty close to perfect.

We liked everything about our stay! The scenery is beautiful, between the tall mountains, large fields of perfectly cut greener than green grass, cows let totally free eating or just laying around. It is stunning in each part of the day. You can't get enough of this! Then there is the house, built by the owner, Mark. It is big enough, it is like brand new, everything is in it's place, the interior shows taste, which is most probably a point for Mark's wife, Jo. There is seasonal decoration, everything is clean, no stains, no dust to be seen anywhere. The rooms are also just enough in size, the bathroom is modern and clean, nothing is missing. Just like home! There is even a "man cave", to be used by the guests: a room with a huge TV, billiard and table soccer (and a fridge with cold beer and wine). Also free coffee, and tea. We got breakfast with a big selection of food, Jo makes delicious scrambled eggs! We got tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cereals, bread, Jo even baked fresh muffins each morning! Both our hosts was absolutely lovely, they asked us all the time if we would need anything, they gave us tips where to go and what to see around there. We were very warmly welcomed, and our stay was so pleasant that we even miss being there.Really! Absolutely 10/10! Thank you for the great time!

Amazing location, Gosau is beautiful itself and it gives a very convenient starting point to explore Upper Austria. Accomodation is cosy (and super modern at the same time), clean, rooms are spacious and the mountain view is breathtaking. Good choice for breakfast. Everything was absolutely perfect, the place was cozy and has everything you need. Great location, warm welcome, easy free parking behind the house. The room was great, big and clean. It is close to Hallstatt. The owners are really nice and helpful. They recomended us where to eat, where to go, how to get there, where to park. They gave us a lot of great advice. and it was really beautiful there - A million dollar view :) The breakfast was really delicious. Einfach perfect!
