There was no staff at all. The heating was off so an electric heater was supplied but had a faulty switch. Cobwebs in the room. Next doors bathroom backed on to the bed and walls were very thin.

I was in Room 1 and was not told that the room can only be locked from the outside, by going out into the corridor. That should have been made clear, as it is not something that any other guest would expect. Perhaps a sign on the back of the door would clarify this unusual arrangement.

Everything was clean and comfortable, the location was great, and the price was very reasonable. It was a very convenient place to stay to attend a wedding.

Suggestions for improvement- Only one roll of toilet paper supplied for a two bedroom apartment booking (potentially four people staying) for a four night stay. Fingerprints and smudges on glassware and dishes in the cupboards. Used, wet sponge left for use in kitchen but plenty of clean facewashes available, so we used one of them instead. No soap or liquid soap supplied for hand washing. It is a shame that this beautiful old building does not have a sympathetic decor to match. We filled our small garbage bin over the four nights. Perhaps additional waste disposal should be offered for longer stays?

Great location - seriously good location. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Very quiet at night, in fact, it is quiet during the day too. Plenty of towels etc. left for use over our stay. Very, very comfortable beds. In fact, amazingly comfortable! We would stay there again.

The shower had mould .We were left a half roll of toilet paper for a 2 night stay. We had no tv reception. I contacted them and received no reply .

Some of the furniture has seen better days. Vintage I understand but still needs some maintenance. Shower recess was basically clean but needed a good scrub of the fittings

The heating panel - could not find the switch to get it working (no instruction either). Pity there was no common kitchen as needed a microwave for my morning cereals. Yes I know that microwave was not available in the room as advertised but a common kitchen would have been nice if there was one.

Cramped, tea/coffee making facilities only. Lovely lounge but unused.

Very comfortable bed, dark and quiet overnight, so good for sleeping.

Late check-in although out of their control with previous guest not leaving on time. Overflowing ashtray and broken chair on the doorstep

Be aware some rooms are accessed by going down a steep staircase. Not a problem for us but took it carefully.

Lovely charm and location. Comfortable bed Quiet spot. Great support when we misplaced the room key. Lovely soak in claw foot bath. TV in by UTC

Initially lighting in hallway and separate bathroom was not working but this was promptly resolved when raised (circuit breaker issue) Of concern was no working smoke alarm in our room (room 5) - there was a housing for it on the ceiling but now alarm installed…. ? The front door to the hotel had no controlled access for guests and could not be locked and at night was unlocked presenting potential safety issues with anyone wondering in and around (room doors however were lockable).

The bathroom fan kept the person next door awake and he came in an abused me - as of if I would know he can hear it from his room. And there was no hairdryer as advertised

The shower was tiny. No milk left and lack of chairs was a problem. Narrow steep staircase to get to room. Parking was not private and in street.

Good location near centre and bed very comfortable. Instructions for self check in were very clear and made entry very easy.

Lighting in bathroom poor, spa was very small. Stone floor was very sticky. It would have been nice to have a range of tea and coffee. Rooms not made up overnight or milk replenished.

Property was central.wood heater was very warming
