Due to the lack of carpets it can be a bit noisy if there is another family using the other apartment. We could have done with more than one pillow per bed.

Location is excellent. It's clean, comfy and a good size. Owner and her brother were very friendly.

Not a problem for us - but something to consider. Our room was on the top floor, down one flight is the kitchen, down another flight was our designated bathroom (2 flights on old steep stairs). We ate out, but did have coffee in the kitchen. The dishwasher isn't useable (yet) - it's new, but still had all that paperwork inside. And to use the cooktop, you would need pan. There are glasses, cups, plates, silverware, but nothing to cook with.

This is an historic house. The outside is original, the inside has been updated and seems to be very recently. There is one room on the entry level with a bathroom. We had 2 bedrooms on the top floor and a separate bathroom. There is a shared kitchen and dining area with free coffee/tea available. The location was great, being a short walk to the city center. If you are driving a car, parking is on the street but was easy to find in front of the house. You receive a parking pass you leave in your window. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood - we had the room in the back of the house, slept with the window open and didn't hear a thing all night!

Quite a noisy street, but it is one of the main streets going into Ypres square, so not surprising. Lots of building work starting early and also lorries/machinery. Was it a bin lorry? No idea. It's a bit of a strange set up, but it's cheap for a stay in Ypres. Good location for walking into Ypres with everything close by. When we arrived there was no one there to answer the door at number 57, so we just went in and helped ourselves and then knocked again later, that was a little disconcerting. But fine in the end. There was a lot of air freshener smells. The other people who stayed drew the short straw with the bottom bedroom, it smelt a bit fusty and was not as nice as the top bedrooms. I wouldn't have been happy with the bottom bedroom. The top ones were nice.

It felt clean and comfortable, there was coffee and a shared kitchen to use. We had the whole house the first night which was nice. It felt weird sharing the second night, but that's the kind of accommodation it was! The top floor with two bedrooms we used for two adults and two children as the 'family deluxe room''. Had to go down two flights of stairs to reach the bathroom. If you only had one of the rooms upstairs I think this would mean sharing the bathroom, but at least we had it to ourselves. We left the car outside in the street and parking was fine, roof box was left on and it was safe etc.

Nowhere to store bags securely when we arrived and then when we wanted to check in there was no one there at the specified time and no answer on messages or telephone. We had to wait some time before someone arrived.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the room, but remember to bring your own milk as there’s a coffee machine and facilities on the first floor, but they assume you drink black coffee.

The property was super clean, the lady that met us was very pleasant. We had the whole house to ourselves. Everything you can need and some lovely little extra touches in the bathroom like cotton buds and tissues etc. The location was great getting into the city centre. Overall a lovely stay.

Building work next door started at 7am. Not owner's fault. We were told WiFi was being changed, but found it was working OK. Not a problem.

Very well furnished and convenient for buses and trains.

Luckily, we were in the rooms upstairs as up 4 flights, which are quite steep, so some may struggle like my parents & also the bathroom is down 3 flights of stairs. My parents' room was on the ground floor with a bathroom next door, so a lot better for them. Although we had a kettle in our room, there was no water, so we had to go to the kitchen or bathroom. The kitchen area where breakfast is served is on the 3rd floor. We didn't find out until the day we arrived that breakfast wasn't included & €10 per person per day additional cost. Inga came in early & prepared it & it was left out to help ourselves at 8am as she had to leave. The only downside was that, as there were 5 of us, there was only one piece of each fruit eg 1 banana, 1 apple. We were under the impression from the details that there was free parking but it wasn't made clear that you need a permit in your car & it is only free after 6pm. The permit time has to be changed every 2 hours, which they said they can do if you leave your keys. At times, this was problematic as it was unclear what times it had to be changed & the language barriers. Although the stay at Ingas was perfectly adequate for our needs, if I had known the situation re breakfast, bathroom & parking prior to booking, I probably would have booked elsewhere. I cannot imagine what it would be like if strangers were staying there with you. Also there was a time my mum was on her own at the property & the host & children just let themselves in & wandering around & the front door was left unlocked.

Convenience of location for exploring Ypres & it was a quiet area. Rooms were clean & the beds upstairs, where me, my husband & son slept were very comfortable. Maria was very helpful & greeted us as Inga doesn't speak English. Ideal for us as my parents were also staying at Inga & were in the room downstairs, so we had the place to ourselves. Breakfast selection was good & fresh everyday.

Advertised with a shared kitchen. We like to cook for ourselves so this was a factor in choosing this place to book. When we arrived I was shown the kitchen and tpld that it was free to use. There was an oven and hob.We went out and bought food but then found no basic equipment I.e saucepans. I called on owner to ask and was told the kitchen was not for use- only for coffee making or sandwiches. Staff were indifferent to us having bought food and that this had not been explained on arrival or clearly in listing. Was also unsure about the parking. It is permit parking so during the day, the permit has to be adjusted every two hours. Didn't affect us so much overnight but would impact a longer stay.
