Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Very central located, Eva as a host is one of a kind and helps you with everything. Great free parking situation directly in front of the house.

This wasn't a big deal for us, but there are two flight of stairs to be climbed to reach the loft. We had some luggage, so it took us 2-3 rides to bring everything up (and then down when we left). The stairs were on the smaller side, so keep this in mind if you have mobility issues.
Very comfortable loft in a quiet area. It has a living room separated from the bedroom with a comfy sofa, a mini fridge, some plates, cups and cutlery for a quick snack. It was great to have a fridge and some plates as we had some little food with us that we wanted to keep fresh. There were also cups, glasses and a coffee machine. Two water bottles were provided- we appreciated them as we run out of water when we arrived. The place was very clean with all we needed. The living room had two massive windows, one that opened widely and had an insect net. It was so useful to leave the window open and keep the flat fresh without worrying that bugs, spiders or mosquitos would enter the loft. The bed was very comfortable and the inclined windows had a light blocker so we could sleep in without being woken up by the morning light. The shower was great and clean, with the toilet in a separate room. We didn't meet the host, but we could contact them super easily and the response was almost instantaneous - very good communication. The city centre and the train station were around 20-30 mins walk away. Not far I'd say, and it didn't bother at all, but it's good to be aware of the distance and plan accordingly.

Very cosy, clean and neat place to live. The owners were very kind and quick to response. Location-wise was also ideal place, not too far from the city center.

The only thing I would suggest would be to maybe have a toaster or microwave as I was pregnant i felt uncomfortable eating out and not understanding the ingredients but apart from that nothing else I can suggest.
The bel - etage was clean and tidy , there was great facilities, brilliant location and also the bed is super comfortable.

The apartment is on the top floor which anyone in the house can access, although it was only used by us and we had no problems. If you're tall you might get the odd bump to the head in the bedroom/shower room due to the sloping ceiling, but again not a huge problem!
Super comfy large bed, really peaceful sleep 🙂 Coffee machine with a range of coffees, tea also. Quiet residential area within walking distance to Bruges. Free parking was available just outside.

We didn’t dislike anything. Everything was perfect!
The apartment is beautiful, modern, clean and tidy and really well appointed. Bed was ultra comfortable as was the living room. Eva and Ludovic are excellent hosts and communication was really good. You have sole use of the top floor of their house and it feels completely private. There are also nice extra touches like tea, coffee, a mini fridge and a fan and you have use of a tv screen which you can pair to through Chromecast. You can easily walk to the centre of Bruges within about 20 minutes and there are views of the Belfort from the apartment. We had our car and the house is right off the expressway but you wouldn’t think this as it is so quiet. We were able to park the car for free on the road and directly opposite the house. We cannot recommend Eva and Ludovic’s place highly enough.

Even it's entire flat, but there is no individual door to sperate the area with owner. And need to go through the owner's living area, didn't feel that comfortable. There is a silent time after 11PM, then when we arrived lately, didn't know should we shower or not, same for drying hair, this only remarked in the booklet after we lived in. And the shower area got stocked during the sec. night.
Free parking across the street. Quite easy to find the location. And easy to have the key.

There was no key in the key box as arranged. Luckily the host was working from home and let us in.
