Staff were quite nice and the location was good

*air conditioning unit in the room is so loud that it isn’t possible to sleep with it on. The sound penetrates through ear plugs, ear defenders, ear phones, etc. Sounds a bit like a helicopter actually * No sleep from 4am on first night after metal banging sound from within hotel or immediately outside the room. This was crazy, sounded like a fan or air conditioning banging loudly on another piece of metal for 5-10 minutes. Wakey wakey! * Woken up each night by loud voices in the hallway - the door to the room doesn’t form a seal because it isn’t big enough for the door frame, so cannot block out the sound. This is obvious looking at the other rooms as well. Totally unacceptable. * Got back to our room one night and the keys had been deactivated so needed to get new ones - unfortunately there was a backlog of complaints at reception so it took a while! Expect this * Plug socket didn’t provide enough power to charge a phone power pack * Bedsheets not made properly or not big enough for the mattress, so they come off every day. They pull inwards, leaving you sleeping on bare mattress which is unhygienic and unsafe. * This hotel needs an additional lift. You can wait five to ten minutes for it sometimes * This hotel also needs to replace the lift it already has - it’s creaking and shaking, it’s cheap and nasty,

The hotel staff was extremely helpful and kind. Lobby and restaurant were pleasant and inviting. Very convenient to the beach, shopping and restaurants.

    Rooms are somewhat dated.

Friendly stuff Good location Clean and comfortable room New gym equipment Luggage service on day of departure Flexible with early check in Breakfast was nice, nothing extraordinary

-WIFI didn't properly work. We had to use data to do basic internet use -Sauna wasn't working, we called to switch it on but nothing happened -On arrival we found an opened chips package in the room, it took 3 days and 4 reminders to remove it - the showers floor was the bathrooms floor and got wet at every use -on second day we got less towels then the day before and they had stains -there was only one lift for 13 floors and the stairs couldnt be used to go to the reception. In breakfast time the waiting time was impossible

The hotel has a bedbug infestation problem. Be aware when booking. It ruined 2 of our days in Rio.

The reception staff were helpful during our stay, but unfortunately, we had a very bad experience on our last day. We lost $300 from our room after briefly going downstairs for breakfast. When I reported it, the manager’s response was highly suspicious—he immediately claimed that the CCTV cameras were not working and refused to show me the monitors. Instead of assisting, he rushed us to check out. This gave us the impression that management may be connected with dishonest staff. It was an extremely disappointing and untrustworthy experience. I would strongly advise others not to stay here if you are carrying valuable items, gadgets, or cash.

Buffet breakfast was very good: scramble eggs, breads, juice, and fresh fruit. Location was within walking distance to Copacabana Beach and around the corner from the subway station. A/C unit was strong and WIFI was good.

Mosquitoes kept coming into the room, possibly through the gaps in the A/C unit from the outside. We were staying on the 10th floor so likely not from the hallway. Killed several each day, but should be expected, since this is Brazil.
