Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PortugalTips for future guests: No cars are allowed on the island and there are no paved roads, so the only way to get around there is on foot. If you’re travelling with a lot of luggage, wheelbarrows are offered at the pier to help visitors with their luggage. Just be sure to set the price before you hand your bags off to anyone. Pousada Colibri is located at the top of the hill, so you'll have to walk and climb A LOT! If you have mobility issues, this is not the place for you.
We found everything to be just perfect. The place is lovely, the staff is super accommodating, the breakfast is fantastic and we were very comfortable. I have no complaints.

United StatesI loved everything! nothing not to like
everything about this place was perfect- I could not have asked for more. the location is on a high hill with incredible views. the beautiful family that owns it is so welcoming and warm, and they clearly take pride in this wonderful family business that has been there for 40 years. I stayed in the chalet which is a beautiful Brazilian style home on the hill with beautiful balconies and a sea breeze. you can see nature and town and it is peaceful and private but the owners are nearby if you need anything. I had such an amazing rest here and loved going out for the day and equally loved coming home! you must climb a good bit of stairs to get to the property but it is a lovely and meditative little walk that I genuinely looked forward too! the pool is astonishingly gorgeous as well- overlooking the mountains and sea. I cannot wait to return thank you Tanya and Jose!!!

BelgiumLeaving...
Friendly staff, good and clean rooms, great breakfast. Really close to the beach and to the village's main street (where no cars or motorcycles are allowed, lots of good restaurants and stores). I'll surely return. Super recommended! Thanks Tania and Pepe!!

United KingdomThe stairs were the only downside to this gorgeous pousada. However I knew that when I booked it and resigned or convinced myself to keeping fit. The first ascent was a shock to the system but to be fair it just got easier each day. It’s a small price to pay for a little bit of paradise. Tbh you are never gonna get a spectacular view without a decent climb and it also made up for it as it was away from the noise of the town where it is quite busy. It really was a peaceful place to stay.
This is an extremely magical place. Woke up to the first morning being greeted with a humming bird sipping nectar from beautiful flowers dotted around the pousada. Two days later went to drop off my keys at reception and there were a family of tiny wild monkeys waiting to be fed bananas by the lady of the house. It really was such a joy to see. The pool was divine along with amazing views and lovely soft water but you have ensure you shower removing all sunscreen or lotions from your body or hair. If you don’t, you will ruin the experience for others using the pool. The room was basic and well maintained but wholly adequate. Loved the fact I had weighted mosquito net. The family that ran the Pousda were kind and helpful and accommodating. It really was idyllic and I’m so glad I stayed, I will definitely return again one day.

I don't often write reviews, but feel as though the Calibri poussada deserves it! Despite the hike to get there (definitely only for those who are able and don't have physical disabilities), the location, view, pool, quiet tranquility, beautiful vegetation, garden, and the birds that often come along with it, including monkey like micos, and incredibly friendly and accommodating staff, an absolutely wonderful experience in addition to the pristinely clean rooms with all necessary amenities. And I can't recommend enough the lovely pool, star gazing after sunset, and waking up to see the sunrise as well. Enjoy!

United StatesThough the walk up the many steps to reach the Pousada Colibri was challenging at first, we were able to get used to it over time and space out the number of times we would need to walk back up to our accommodations (which was actually good exercise in the end and even appreciated after a big meal!).
The breakfast was delicious, nutritious, and nicely presented. And my wife and I loved the location in a quieter section of Moro Sao Paulo, with close access to an almost private beach ... quite a contrast from the somewhat overwhelming hoards of tourists at the main beaches near-by.
