Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Villa charme sits at a sweet and lively area in the neighborhood. Breakfast was delicious and served with such lovely dishes. If you like a laid back place that keeps you in contact with nature like we do, you will love it here :)

FranceEntrance door does not close properly (you could still peek into the room) and the tatami of the lower-level bed tends to shift. But, for party-obsessed Jericoacoara, this is the best approximation to a good night's rest you can dream of!
Nicely located on the edge of the tourist core of Jericoacoare, this location is relatively quiet (you can still hear the music at night, as sound insulation is an alien concept in Brasil, but it's bearable). The small appartment occupies two levels, with the better bed and terrace with hammock being upstair, bathroom downstairs. The manager, Cris, speaks excellent English and is very friendly. Breakfast is fine. There is a nice patio with palm trees, flowers and iguanas.

BelgiumSofa bed not very comfortable. Other beds were ok. Pool was small as shown in pictures but also rather cold. Jeri has become a very busy village and therefore has lost much of its earlier charm.
Quiet location but close to everything.

SloveniaOn a rainy day two walls and part of the floor get wet. Towels are supposed to be changed every 3 days, but we stayed there four nights and had to use the same towels. It is quite unpleasant as the towels do not dry during rainy season and were dump all the time .
Great, quiet location, lovely, quite comfortable room, absolutely delicious breakfast prepared by very kind and helpful staff.

BelgiumNothing.
The villa is really charming. The location was perfect close to the beach and in a street with many restaurants however the villa was really quite and you don’t hear noise from the street. It was really nice to relax in the jardin, private terasse and swimming pool. The staff was really nice and helpful ! Julio helped us with transfer from/to Fortaleza airport and helped us with booking of activities. The breakfast was delicious and fresh and the view from the breakfast room was amazing !

BelgiumWe loved Vila Charme and everything about it: the very tasteful and cozy interior, the location just outside the noice but super close to the beach and main streets, the very nice and helpful staff, and the wonderful breakfast. The owner was super friendly and helpful, gave us tips on activities in Jeri, helped us with the transfer from fortaleza airport. The breakfast was amazing, super tasty home made Brazilian breakfast. Argentinian woman who just started working at the place was so loving and caring. The whole place and its environment is absolutely amazing. We had a quadruple room for the two of us which allowed us the space and even more confort, with the double bed on the first floor and the living room on the ground floor. Thank you very much for such a wonderful hospitality!

FranceThe fact that I could not stay longer .....
It's a bit of a small 3* Boutique Hotel very close to the beach with a wonderful garden. The Service was exceptional, Julho and Ana as well the 2 Ladies in the service did everything to keep everyone happy. The breakfast was excellent, Ana also proposed some vegan options and I learned a lot about exotic fruits from the Amazon I never heard before. Initially I had the executive suite but that was a bit small. I changed to the Quadruple room (not too much more expensive) over 2 floors (31 m2), they have a little terrasse with view to the Dunes and the sea (plus a very comfy hammock). I would say that's the perfect size for 2 people. The Hotel also organized the transfer from Fortaleza (in a shared 4x4, much better than the bus service for almost the same price.)

FranceWe found that the size of our room was too small.
The name speaks for itself, super charming place. Super sweet family owns and runs the Pousada. The location is excellent to discover Jericoacoara. The breakfast and chicken pies are super good. Julho is a super host and very helpful, even allowed us to do an early check in.

ArgentinaThe photos are completely misleading. When you arrive, it’s a huge disappointment. The room is very small and has no table, making it difficult to work. It’s right next to the road, so there’s a lot of noise. To make matters worse, there’s ongoing construction next door, so you’ll constantly hear hammering and drilling—definitely not relaxing. But the biggest issue is the windows. They are wooden with no glass. If you want light or fresh air, you have to open them, letting in all the mosquitoes and bugs. Plus, with no glass, there’s zero noise insulation, which explains why it’s so loud. We were excited to visit Jeri, but our stay at this hotel was really uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
Location is good, staff is very nice, breakfast is good

FranceBefore I made the reservation, I noticed negative remarks about a room close to the street. So, to avoid being in this room, I chose a "superior room" which was more expensive than a "regular room". To no avail and ironically we ended up in the very room we wanted to avoid (the ibiscus suite). Earplugs were necessary to sleep; quite not what we wanted for the end of our trip in Brasil. The hotel was full so the management could to give us a quiet room.
Vila Charme is located in a central area of Jericoacoara. The breakfast is great and the staff very helful. Our room was cleaned every day.
