There are only 2 small draw backs. 1 the outside balcony light stay on all night and couldn't find a switch we asked at the front desk and the maintenance guy said they are all on a dusk till dawn sensor and just to remove the bulb. I just wish they would fit a light unit with a switch as they seemd to stay on during the day also. 2. There is no official walking path to the hotel. You have to walk via the entrance road to get in and out. There is a grassy patch with a fence and gate for access between paradise island(crazy Golf) But it would be nice to have an official pathway to follow with signs.

It's a pet friendly hotel so that's a bonus on its self. The rooms were clean and tidy they provide a dog bed, dog bowls, dog treats, There was also a fridge and TV with sports channels The staff were all really nice and welcoming too

We loved our stay at Bayside! The quaint boutique style hotel was eco-friendly and had an amazing location! We especially loved all the local art throughout the hotel... like staying in a gallery! Beautiful view and a perfect home base location for day trips around the island. We stayed 3 nights here and were sad to leave. We appreciated the comfy bed with coffee and tea in room plus 2 restaurant options on site. This is an older building but was clean, loved and had everything we wanted for our stay.

Not being able to reserve a window table at the restaurant. That the indoor pool was being renovated, but look forward to visiting again in 2026 and being able to take advantage of this amenity.

Clean & bright spacious rooms, comfy beds, balcony & seating to enjoy ocean views, Nespresso coffee, bathrobes, extra blanket and 2 luggage racks...all very well thought out details to make our stay very comfortable. Featuring local artists' artwork throughout the hotel. The restaurant offered lots of healthy and delicious options featuring a variety of local sustainable seafood and getting seating at a window table to take in the magnificent panoramic view of the ocean and sea life activity.

We had a view of the airconditioning unit but I guess that's what you get when you book through a 3rd party.

Our room over looked the ocean which was beautiful. Nice clean rooms, good facilities with a nice outdoor pool. Could walk down onto the beach from the gardens which was lovely. Restaurant was nice. Would definitely recommend.

Unfornately i stayed on the other side facing the parking lot. If you book online i would believe in comments suggest oceanview. Or book through the hotel itself not an app

It was perfect!

The hotel is all fresh and newly decorated. It’s very bright and clean with nice white furniture in the bedrooms. There are stunning works of art all around every room. The staff are lovely and the waiting on staff in the dining room are very attentive. The dining room is extremely popular and always busy. Advise to book. Sometimes have someone playing the grand piano. Beautifully cooked food with views to die for. Fallen in love with the view and the ever changing tide and light on the sandbanks. Really sorry to leave this place. It’s magical.

That I didn't find out until check in that they charge $100 PER DAY deposit up front. I was anticipating about $100 total. Some better communication would work great to resolve this :) The only other thing I would have liked was some control over the air conditioning in the room as the unit blows cold.air directly on you while.youre trying to sleep. Also when you sit out on the balcony the heat pump is pretty loud. First world problems though, am I right?

Room was great..everything was high standard.I have retired from 40 years as a travel agent specializing in cruises....so have lots of experience and exposure to hotel ratings Only things I would add for my own safety (age 83 but in pretty good shape) some kind of night light for when one gets up at night In total room darkness..not waking partner) Also good for me and others is 1 or 2 grab bars at tub..I was hesitant to try to shower.I know they don't add beauty to room appearance.

Perfect..my friend who lives in Parksville joined me for my treat to her.We had a table right at the seaview window. We both had the toast plate that had smoked salmon, avocado etc. It was delicious .I never order any version of egg and bacon or sausage or similar, plus some form of bread..too ordinary and boring for me ! as I have made this for family for 50 years !!
