How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We had a nice quiet room and a good night's sleep. The hotel is perfectly situated across the road from the Hallenstadion. A very good shower and all the facilities one could need. Will definitely stay there again.

The "hot" breakfast was cold and the restaurant didnt open until 6pm. The hotel is pretty ideally based for the Hallenstadion, it plays to that and is pretty price to be honest, but you dont have the option to dine before your concert. The breakfast was very expensive and cold. I also didnt like the 70CHF deposit in case I smoke in the room. As a non-smoker, I find this pretty ridiculous. All in I was over 300CHF for one evening, parking and a pretty mediocre breakfast.
The room was spacious and clean and welcoming. It is directly across from the Hallenstadion.

- The hotel is a bit pricey (around 300 CHF/night, breakfast 30 CHF/person), it would be really exceptional if it would be more affordable.
- Great location if you are going to Zurich to attend an event at Hallendstadion, it is literally in front! - The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. - There is a garage parking underneath the hotel, which is perfect if you have a car. - They had free apples at the reception =)

- gym wasn’t great, didn’t even have a treadmill! - no fridge in the room - price could have been inflated due to athletics but felt high for a fairly basic hotel
-24 hour gym - good breakfast - good location, 5 mins walk to station then 5 minutes train into central zurich. lots of good restaurants and some supermarkets nearby - good wifi - storage luggage and early check in

The television didn't work, not even for the Swiss channels. We didn't go there to watch television but it's nice to watch the news in the morning.
We only stayed one night after a concert at the Hallenstadion. The hotel is perfectly positioned being just across the road. The rooms are very quiet and roomy.

All the road works outside.
Perfect location for our needs, we were attending an event at the Hallenstadion also very easy tram link to get to Zurich centre.

Location was poor for our purpose but would have been great if we were there for the stadium. Low lighting and lack of any outside light made the room feel very dark

Need to take a tram for one stop to the nearest restaurant and supermarket.
It is very near a tram station and only takes 2 stops to the train station. Plus, the tram can directly go to the Zurich centre.

we did not have breakfast as the cost was unbelievable (CHF 29), we thought that was unreasonable. it is a holiday inn.
right next to hallenstadion, great place to stay if you have an event there. check in staff very helpful, positive. the bar is also good although they dont have enough capacity if a nearby event is happening, like our concert.
