Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe plug sockets were not at the most convenient places, but not a big deal.
The room was of a good standard and the nightly rate was reasonable for Swiss standards. The wifi was fine. The hotel is located in a pleasant suburban area of Zurich. There is a decent selection of shops and restaurants nearby and the area was pleasant. There are regular trams to Zurich Central station and the journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Some airport trains also stop at Hardbrucke Station, about 15-20 minutes walk from the hotel. The staff were very good, especially the gentleman who without asking gave me a nice, cold glass of water on checking in after he obviously saw that I was sweating buckets after walking from Hardbrucke Station with my suitcase in the heat!

The cost is reasonable for Zurich Life cost, Location is near by train stops, and 30 mnt walking distance to main zurich train stations. Facility was very clean, staff where very helpful.

United KingdomOur original room really smelt - but it will have been easily fixed with some ventilation. The second room we had was great - very spacious. The rooms are very warm and electrics were strange - they needed some work but for around £100 a night, it is what I would expect
The night receptionist Martin was very welcoming and friendly - which was welcome when I arrived very late from my flight. The lady at reception during the day was also very helpful and friendly and helped us with another room when I asked to change as our original room had a strong smell in it.

South AfricaApartment had no kettle, no glasses and no cups. No tea or coffee was provided. All the above you get in a normal hotel room as standard,but nothing was provided here, so you cannot make your own tea or coffee. There was a fridge/freezer but it was not working properly so the the fridge section was warm and the freezer section was as cold as fridge should have been, so we used the freezer section as a fridge. There is a AC in the main bedroom but an AC should be provided in the second bedroom, as there is only a fan.
Good location as tram stop very close, spacious apartment, very clean and comfortable beds.

Good location with many cafes and shops around, close to the tourist attractions, very friendly staff at the reception (especially Arman). Good rooms with a kitchen (though no kitchen utensils).

BelgiumUpon arrival, I was informed that my room would be provided by a different hotel located further down the street, which meant I had to get back in the car and drive there. It would have been much better to receive this information in advance, so that I could have gone directly to the correct location instead of driving back and forth late at night after an already exhausting journey from Brussels. Furthermore, the parking place is not free but there is an additional fee for it.
Not terrible, but not a place I would want to re-visit.

United KingdomThe basic room rates are fabulous given how centrally located the hotel is. However, the additions (32CHF/night for parking and 25CHF/night for a dog to stay) ruins the value for money of the hotel.
The staff here are super friendly, and let’s face it, the location is ideal - a short walk to the 2 and 3 tram stop and from there a short tram right into the heart of Zurich.
